Now this… Actual Reuters headline:
Obama worse for press freedom than Nixon: Goodale

Barack Obama condemned the IRS scandal earlier this week saying,

“I have got not patience for it… I first learned about this from the same news reports that I think most people learned about this.”

But now we know… The Obama administration knew about the IRS targeting scandal in June 2012 – before the November elections.
The New York Times reported:

The Treasury Department’s inspector general told senior Treasury officials in June 2012 he was auditing the Internal Revenue Service’s screening of politically active organizations seeking tax exemptions, disclosing for the first time on Friday that Obama administration officials were aware of the matter during the presidential campaign year.

At the first Congressional hearing into the I.R.S. scandal, J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration, told members of the House Ways and Means Committee that he informed the Treasury’s general counsel of his audit on June 4, and Deputy Treasury Secretary Neal Wolin “shortly thereafter.”

It remained unclear how much the disclosure would affect the broader debate over the I.R.S.’s problems. Complaints from Tea Party groups that the I.R.S. was singling them out became public in 2012, through media accounts.

Mr. George told Treasury officials about the allegation as part of a routine briefing about ongoing audits he would be conducting in the coming year, and he did not tell the officials of his conclusions that the targeting had been improper, he said.

The website Gawker has outdone New York’s “Journal News” and published the names of all licensed gun owners in New York City. With the provocative headline, “Here Is a List of All the A**holes Who Own Guns in New York City,” John Cook provides a 446-page list of every licensed gun owner in NYC, obtained two-and-a-half years ago via a Freedom of Information Act request.

“Below is a 446-page list of every licensed gun owner in New York City…Because the NYPD is more interested in raping and/or eating ladies and spying on Muslims than it is in honoring public records law, the list contains only the names, and not the addresses, of the licensees,” Cook writes.

The Journal News sparked outrage when it published the names and addresses of pistol permit holders in Westchester and Rockland Counties. The paper wanted to also publish the information of gun owners in Putnam County, N.Y., but so far the county has refused, saying providing the information would put the public in danger.

As Cook correctly points out, section 400.00 of the Penal Law of New York, entitled “Licenses to carry, possess, repair and dispose of firearms,” makes addresses of licensed gun owners public information. “The name and address of any person to whom an application for any license has been granted shall be a public record,” the law states.

Critics argue, however, just because information is publicly available, that doesn’t mean it should be published online and in newspapers for criminals and others to see. In other states, like Texas, the personal information of concealed weapons license holders is considered confidential.

In his post, Cook also brags about outing Fox News chief Roger Ailes, Sean Hannity, Howard Stern, Don Imus, Donald Trump and others as gun owners with permits to own or carry firearms in the city in 2010.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

About 55,000 tourists visit Liechtenstein every year. This blog was viewed about 180,000 times in 2012. If it were Liechtenstein, it would take about 3 years for that many people to see it. Your blog had more visits than a small country in Europe!

While the country worries about whether the White House and Congressional leaders will agree to a budget deal to avoid the fiscal cliff, President Barack Obama has spent more time socializing this holiday season than negotiating with Republicans on Capitol Hill.

An administration official told the Washington Times that the White House is “hosting more than 25 holiday parties this month.” The White House said the Obamas were hosting parties for “volunteers, members of Congress, White House staff, Secret Service personnel, White House reporters and Americans from across the country.”

Nearly 14,000 people will attend a White House party or reception this holiday season.

Since November 21, Obama has also played three rounds of golf, “attended a holiday concert Sunday at the National Building Museum and presided over the national tree-lighting ceremony along the Mall” while only having one face-to-face meeting with Boehner. This means means Obama has had as many face-to-face meetings with Boehner as he has had with the singer of “Gangnam Style,” PSY, who rapped anti-American lyrics at at least two rallies during the last decade.

Following Barack Obama’s re-election, accusations from some quarters have held that his campaign stole the election through vote fraud. Others claim no vote fraud occurred, and that the election victory resulted from the Obama campaign’s vastly superior get-out-the-vote effort. One RedState diarist has even gone so far as to announce that commenters complaining that the election was stolen will be banned from the site.

With all of the swirling allegations, where does the truth lie? While there have been many proven cases of vote fraud in previous elections, and many credible allegations of fraud in this election cycle, was the cumulative total of all fraud sufficient to throw the election for Obama? After all, Obama’s team ran an intensely focused, highly organized get-out-the-vote effort. Republican efforts were, by comparison, disorganized and nowhere near as comprehensive or sophisticated.

Still, members of the president’s team did everything possible to rig the game in their favor. They took liberties with the law Republicans would never dare attempt and obstructed voter-integrity efforts at every turn, while the vast political-media-entertainment-education-union-nonprofit complex went all in to promote Obama’s narrative.

Democrats and their media allies also engaged in what has fairly been described as a dishonest and “vicious” campaign to discredit the Republican nominee while steadfastly shielding the administration from its many scandals. Any of these could have sunk Obama’s reelection prospects had the media reported them with the enthusiasm they showed in attacking and spreading disinformation about Romney.

When it comes to outright vote fraud, however, let’s examine first those allegations with the greatest potential for skewing election results.

South Korean rap sensation Psy — now best known for his “Gangnam Style” horse dancing moves — once smashed a model of a U.S. tank onstage and rapped, “Kill those f–king Yankees…slowly and painfully”

The first incident took place during a 2002 concert opposing the 37,000 U.S. troops stationed in Korea and after two Korean schoolgirls were killed in an accident with an American military vehicle, South Korean magazine Busan Haps reported. Psy took the stage with several other performers and, dressed in a glittering red outfit and gold face paint, lifted a large model of a U.S. tank above his head and threw it to the ground.

Two years later, Islamic extremists kidnapped and decapitated a South Korean missionary over South Korea’s plans to send troops to aid the U.S. in the Iraq war. The killing prompted massive protests in South Korea against Muslim extremism and the U.S. military for being indirectly responsible for the missionary’s death, according to Mediaite. Psy and several other artists gave a live performance of a Korean rock band’s song, “Dear American,” where Psy rapped:

Kill those f–king Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives
Kill those f–king Yankees who ordered them to torture
Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers
Kill them all slowly and painfully
