Media Matters is a Hated Filed Joke of an Organization………

As Glenn Beck’s finale show on Fox News draws near, the folks at George Soros’ progressive Media Matters are tickled pink. So much so in fact, they even hosted a soiree to celebrate their victory. The group gives themselves a hearty pat on the back and all the kudos for “getting Glenn off the air” by claiming to have pressured advertisers into pulling out of Beck’s time-slot.

Huffington Post’s Zach Carter interviewed various Media Matterites at the event, many of whom said now that Beck is “gone” they’ll be ever-vigilant of the remaining “right wing media nuts” out there — which, according to one attendee, constitutes the entire Fox News network. Ironic, considering a recent UCLA study actually puts Fox News left of center.

Regarding Beck’s plans for the future, another guest at the event believes Beck should “look into the internet” as it provides a large audience of people interested in “baseless conspiracy theories.” Speaking of conspiracies — Carter pointed out to the guest that George Soros, who funds Media Matters, had been shorting Beck on Intrade. “How is that not market manipulation?” Carter asked. Naturally, the question was dodged.

The group that was formed out of a paranoid belief in a right-wing media “conspiracy” doesn’t believe they, themselves, are conspiracy theorists. Priceless.

Michelle O’s $800,000 Entitlement?

It’s evident by now Mrs. Obama will not yield to public opinion regarding her profligate globe-hopping. Michelle’s week-long junket to South Africa cost taxpayers nearly $800,000 according to an analysis by White House Dossier. The trip ended at a five-star hotel in the middle of a game preserve where rooms exceed $10,000 dollars per night. Michelle was accompanied by her daughters, brother Craig’s kids and granny who all enjoyed the “luxurious suites” and “one of the world’s finest art collections” at the Mateya.

The cost of local transportation, Secret Service protection, food for her family and staff members, and the cost of firing up “Air Force Two” not to mention the pre-trip preparations all contributed to the final amounts.

Mrs. Obama’s goodwill tour was supposed to “help youth leadership, health, education and wellness” in crime-ridden South Africa. The photos of her and the ‘fam’ showed them feeling “surreal” meeting Nelson Mandela, eating “fat cakes,” dancing and going on safari. A U.S. Embassy spokeswoman “made clear that the trip was partially a personal pilgrimage for the first lady.”

A visit to South Africa is important for them as a family. She’ll be visiting many Struggle-era landmarks, including the Apartheid Museum (and) the Hector Pieterson Memorial.

Obviously Michelle doesn’t give a whit that she’s fleecing average Americans. Or that draping Malia and Sasha in South African flags is downright bizarre for a first lady representing the United States. Or that eating fatty foods, but telling others to “eat your vegetables” is downright Dante-esque. She told a crowd of young people at the University of Cape Town her favorite food is French fries, “I can’t stop eating them.” Michelle just blew her credibility in her vanity campaign against obesity.

The mainstream press won’t talk about Michelle Obama’s unnecessary expenses or duplicitous campaigns at a time when the United States is having a debt crisis. The same liberal media who tore Bush up for spending too much time at his ranch in Crawford or demonized Nancy Reagan for replacing the White House china is more than happy to keep quiet about Michelle’s extravagant WOD (wife of dictator) lifestyle.

The Obamas are living it up while more and more people go on food stamps, lose their jobs and only dream of the vacations they used to take.

Nothing’s changed for Mrs. Obama since last summer when she took a “Mommy and me” trip to Spain with Sasha, one of eight jaunts in a 4-month period. She continues spending other people’s hard-earned money while carting her friends and family all over the globe. The public is becoming increasingly disgusted with her defiant attitude of entitlement. Michelle couldn’t care less.

Looking for a job? Good luck with that.

Yeah … we’ve been here before. Here I go yammering about Barack Obama again. Fact is, I just cannot believe that this guy has turned out to be as hideously bad as he clearly is. Certainly he telegraphed what kind of a president he was going to be during the 2008 campaign, but the human spirit is such that you still want to hold out a bit of hope – until hope becomes delusional.

Do you understand just how bad our economy is? Let me share just a few statistics with you. There have been several economic recessions since the end of World War II. Every recession, of course, has been followed by a recovery. The Joint Economic Committee has studied recoveries from previous recessions and compared them to the current situation. We are now 38 months past the beginning of the recession. When past recessions are studied the Joint Economic Committee found that at the 38-month marker employment would be about 3.7% higher than it was at the beginning of the recession. This, though, is the Obama recovery. Employment is now – at the 38-month mark – 5% below what it was at the start of the recession. This is the worst recovery from a recession since World War II.

Stephen Moore of the Wall Street Journal shares another statistic with us. In previous recessions our economy enjoyed an average growth of 9.9% over 13-quarter period since the beginning of the recession. Where are we now? Our GDP has grown by 0.8% over that same 13-quarter period since the beginning of the 2008 recession. There’s the ObamaRecovery for you.

Are these numbers boring for you? Well if you’re looking for a job, or worried about keeping the job you have, you should be digesting these numbers and addressing the cause — and the cause is Barack Obama.

The American economy is a private sector economy. If you’re looking for a job in the private sector:

* You’re looking for a job in that sector of our economy that Barack Obama refers to as the “enemy.”
* You’re looking for a job in that sector of the economy that must endure tax increases so that, in the words of Obama’s Treasury Secretary, the federal government won’t have to spend less.
* You’re looking for a job in that sector of our economy that is suffering an unprecedented regulatory assault from Washington DC.

If you’re looking for a job your greatest hope is in making sure that Barack Obama is not a two-term president.

TSA cancer danger coverup?

Getting cancer or having the private parts of their bodies unwillingly touched has become the impossible choice for people who have already been sexually abused or sexually assaulted. The TSA, with the blessing of this Administration, has now made this horror a stark reality for the traveling public. In the United States, 27% of the female population, and 16 % of the male population were sexually abused as children. How can any department of the United States government accept such a choice for its citizens?

The following article is a splendid indictment of this corrupt Administration. Responsibility flows up, and “We, the People” must now insure the indictment and prosecution of those responsible for this cover-up. Here are some excerpts. Read the entire article. Then call your elected Federal representatives and let them know how you feel about increasing your cancer risk cancer due to the criminal negligence of Homeland Security and the TSA.

Fearful of provoking further public resistance to naked airport body scanners, the TSA has been caught covering up a surge in cases of TSA workers developing cancer as a result of their close proximity to radiation-firing devices, perhaps the most shocking revelation to emerge from the latest FOIA documents obtained by the Electronic Privacy Information Center.

After Union representatives in Boston discovered a “cancer cluster” amongst TSA workers linked with radiation from the body scanners, the TSA sought to downplay the matter and refused to issue employees with dosimeters to measure levels of exposure. The documents indicate how, “A large number of workers have been falling victim to cancer, strokes and heart disease.”

As we reported yesterday, newly released internal government documents, obtained via the Freedom Of Information Act by the Electronic Privacy Information Center, reveal that the TSA, and specifically the head of the Department of Homeland Security, “publicly mischaracterized” the findings of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, in stating that NIST had positively confirmed the safety of full body scanners in tests.

In erroneously citing both NIST and the Johns Hopkins School of medicine to claim that the body scanners are safe, the TSA has also deliberately misled the public on the dangers posed by the devices.

Documents obtained by EPIC show that, far from affirming their safety, NIST warned that airport screeners should avoid standing next to full body scanners in order to keep exposure to harmful radiation “as low as reasonably achievable.”

Further documents illustrate how a Johns Hopkins study actually revealed that radiation zones around body scanners could exceed the “General Public Dose Limit,” contradicting repeated claims by the TSA that Johns Hopkins had validated the safety of the devices.

Let start the clock. How many days until Janet Napolitano and John S. Pistole, head of the TSA, are fired and then indicted? Don’t hold your breath, we’re dealing with the Chicago machine alumni who oversee the DOJ and the White House. If you were one of the screeners at Logan who developed cancer while performing their duties, I’m sure this question has real world significance.

One sentence really stands out in this article, “… the TSA sought to downplay the matter and refused to issue employees with dosimeters to measure levels of exposure.” If our federal government can so easily abdicate such basic moral responsibility, we can only imagine what new cruelties this Administration is planning against it’s own citizens.

Understanding Obama

The word of the week is “immoral.” The Republicans want to cut spending and not raise taxes. This is what these liberals have deemed “immoral.” But apparently we can add another Democrat to the ranks of those calling the Republican approach “immoral” …. Barack Obama apparently agrees that the Republicans are flirting with immorality, according to his chief dogwasher Jay Carney.

CHIP REID, CBS NEWS: “This weekend, when the Vice President was laying out all the things that you have to do and how much — when he said you have to ask those who are struggling in this economy to bear the burden and let the most fortunate among us off the hook, he said that borders on being immoral. Does the President agree with that?”

JAY CARNEY, WH PRESS SEC: “Why, I think he does. Yes.”

That leads me to this excellent column I read in the American Thinker: President Quixote’s Legacy: Confused, Ill-Educated and Not Too Bright. I want to highlight these few paragraphs in particular, which discuss Barack Obama and morality as it applies to economics.

Obama’s ideology blinds him to relevant variables. Incentives, institutional frameworks, profit and loss, individual initiative, saving and investment, hard work, etc. have no role in his simplistic world. He is a political creation with no experience in relevant matters. He does not understand markets, business, meeting a payroll, or managing an organization. This vacuum in knowledge produces failed economic results because policies do not consider the relevant variables for economic success.

In Obama’s world, success and failure are moral rather than economic outcomes. Success is a marker for evil. Failure is due to someone else’s success rather than personal shortcomings. Failure represents passivity, the choice to not exploit others. Proper moral behavior produces failure.

For Obama, economics itself is inconsistent with morality. Hence economics itself must be evil. This view of the world is both simple and ignorant. No, it is beyond that. It is a sign of stupidity! Recognition of this stupidity is the key to understanding Obama’s behavior and policies.

Wow! Couldn’t have said it better myself. So I won’t bother trying.
