Charlie Daniels blasts Justice Department, suggests political persecution against Gibson Guitar

Country music legend Charlie Daniels is convinced that politics motivated the Department of Justice’s raids on Gibson Guitar facilities.

“I can’t understand it,” Daniels said in a Friday interview on “Your World with Neil Cavuto” on the Fox News Channel. “It is like somebody took a razor-thin technicality and used it as an excuse to raid the Gibson factory with a full SWAT brigade as if they were, you know, manufacturing bombs or something.”

“It is just crazy,” Daniels declared. “It is silly. It has to be political. It is very selective because a whole lot of guitar companies are doing the same thing and no one is bothering them.”

Daniels theorized that political persecution is the only plausible explanation for the raids because Gibson was singled out. “What else could it be?” he asked.

“The wood they have the problem is from India and the trade people in India have no problem with it,” he continued. “Then why should we have a problem with it? It has to be something that goes deeper than just having some wood around.”

Daniels said that he has been playing Gibson guitars “for a half a century. They make the best product and to see them targeted and persecuted,” he said, “I have no idea where it is coming from, but when you get to the bottom of it, you will find politics. I guarantee you.”

Mexico Police Detain 15-Year-Old in Drug Murders

Prosecutors said Saturday that a 15-year-old boy has confessed to running a drug trafficking gang on the Mexican resort island of Isla Mujeres and murdering two women who reportedly worked as drug dealers.

It was the second time in less than a year that an extremely young male has been detained as a purported drug gang killer in Mexico. Last November, soldiers arrested a 14-year-old U.S. citizen who confessed to killing four people whose beheaded bodies were found hanging from a bridge.

Mexican officials say the involvement of youths in such crimes reflects the difficulty drug cartels are having in recruiting adults, but it also raise fears that Mexico’s drug violence may have accustomed young people to extreme levels of violence.

The Isla Mujeres cases involve a youth who prosecutors in the Caribbean coast state of Quintana Roo identified only by his nickname, “El Gallito” or “The Little Rooster”.

Heavily tattooed, El Gallito appears more mature than his age, prosecutors said.

State Attorney General Gaspar Garcia Torres said the boy claimed to have been in charge of the lucrative Isla Mujeres drug market for a local gang known as “Los Pelones,” equivalent to the Bald or Shaved Heads. The gang is reputedly fighting the Zetas cartel for control of the area around the coastal resort of Cancun.

A spokesman for the prosecutors office said the boy told investigators that he and two older associates slashed the throats of the two women at a hotel on Isla Mujeres. Their women’s bodies were found before dawn Thursday, and El Gallito was detained Friday.

Egyptian jailed for Facebook Islam insult

An Egyptian court sentenced a man to three years in jail with hard labour on Saturday for insulting Islam in postings on Facebook, the official MENA news agency reported.

The Cairo court found that Ayman Yusef Mansur “intentionally insulted the dignity of the Islamic religion and attacked it with insults and ridicule on Facebook,” the agency reported.

The court said his insults were “aimed at the Noble Koran, the true Islamic religion, the Prophet of Islam and his family and Muslims, in a scurrilous manner,” the agency reported.

It did not provide details on what he had written that was deemed to be offensive.

Mansur was arrested in August after police tracked him down through his internet address.

Egyptian law outlaws insults to religion. The law has been used in the past to try Shiite Muslims.

MENA did not mention Mansur’s religion or beliefs, but quoted the court as saying that “all members of religions are obligated to tolerate the others’ existence.”

In 2007, a court sentenced blogger Kareem Amer to jail for insulting the Muslim prophet and then president Hosni Mubarak. He was released last year.

Egypt, the most populous Arab country, follows the French legal system but its constitution, suspended since the military took over after an uprising ousted Mubarak in February, stipulates that Islam is the main source of law.

Unions and left-wing groups organize Occupy Wall Street

Anybody who thinks the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations in New York, Washington, Los Angeles and elsewhere across the country sprang up spontaneously hasn’t been paying attention. Aided and abetted by reams of gee-whiz coverage from the liberal mainstream media, the OWS movement represents a carefully planned and orchestrated campaign by left-wing activists to take American politics “to the street.” The aim is to replace American democracy with mobocracy. Some interesting connections are coming to the fore in the process, as major left-wing activist groups and labor unions pump money, media and volunteers into the movement and integrate the street demonstrations with their own programs.

MoveOn.org, for example, put out an email fundraising appeal earlier this week that said “in addition to providing all the support we can to #OccupyWallStreet, at MoveOn we’re scrambling to launch a huge campaign to make Wall Street pay. We’re organizing mass meetings in hundreds of cities … And we’re helping organize two major national days of protest in November.” Among the unions that have lent support are the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, Communications Workers of America, United Auto Workers, and the Writers Guild of America, East.

A question asked by many since the demonstrators occupied New York’s Zuccotti Park is why Mayor Michael Bloomberg has taken such a hands-off approach. The official explanation is that Bloomberg’s hands are tied by the fact that the park is privately owned. There may be more to the story, however: Zuccotti Park is owned by Brookfield Properties, one of the directors of which happens to be Bloomberg’s girlfriend, according to the Atlantic Wire.

Then there is this: Brookfield Properties is a subsidiary of Brookfield Asset Managers, which has another subsidiary, the Brookfield Renewable Power Co. The latter owns Granite Wind Power Co. in New Hampshire. Granite recently received a $167 million loan guarantee from the Department of Energy under President Obama’s economic stimulus program. Among BAM’s stockholders is one George Soros. Small world, isn’t it!

The list of infamous activists involved in the Occupy movement reads like a Who’s Who of the Radical American Left. Former Students for a Democratic Society Weather Underground bomber Bill Ayers posted the initial statement of the Occupy demonstrators on his blog. Wade Rathke, an ACORN founder and former SDSer, praised the movement and helped organize the Occupy New Orleans demonstrations. Another former ACORN leader, Maude Hurd, is a leader of the Occupy Boston demonstrators, who have been particularly aggressive in confronting local authorities.

Muslim fundamentalist revolution

Ronald Reagan saw this coming, and Barack Obama is making his prediction come true.

Moammar Gaddafi got what was coming to him. Of course, the concern now is the jihadist and al-Qaeda elements that are positioned to replace him. Years ago, Ronald Reagan called Gaddafi the “mad dog of the Middle East” and said that his goal was a worldwide “Muslim fundamentalist revolution.”

Many others besides Gaddafi shared that goal, including those who opposed him, and with Gaddafi’s death, that goal is closer than ever to being realized. Here we are, thirty years after Reagan made these remarks, in the throes of a worldwide Muslim fundamentalist revolution.

Reagan said that those who wanted this “Muslim fundamentalist revolution” were enemies of the United States — for them it was “like climbing Mount Everest, because we are here.” And in a sense, that is exactly the reason why. I don’t know if Reagan ever read the Qur’an, but his remark indicates that he knew the larger reason why they were targeting the kafir, the great infidel nation. It was “because we are here” — i.e., because we constitute the foremost obstacle to the overriding goal of Islam: we stand in the way of a world living under Islamic law.

Still, Reagan’s warning of a worldwide “Muslim fundamentalist revolution” was prescient. Can you imagine the Muslim Brotherhood stooge in the White House ever uttering those words? Imagine: Ronald Reagan saw back then the objective of Islamic imperialism. He may not have appreciated the full scope of it, but he understood it. Clearly he believed that it could be contained. Reagan came into office, and the Ayatollah Khomeini released our hostages; the Islamic world was intimidated, cowed by Reagan’s testicular fortitude.

Reagan made this statement before the jihad attack on the Khobar Towers, before the jihad attack on the USS Cole, before the first attack on the World Trade Center, and the 7/7 attack in London, and the 3/11 attack on a train station in Madrid. Reagan warned of a worldwide “Muslim fundamentalist revolution” before the Islamic jihad massacre committed by Major Nidal Hasan at Fort Hood, Texas; before the Islamic jihad massacre in Bali; before the jihad massacre in Mumbai, and before the numerous thwarted attempts at jihad attacks in the United States over the last two years. Reagan spoke before the nearly 18,000 Islamic jihad terrorist attacks that have been committed since 9/11.

Reagan spoke before there was a significant Muslim presence in Europe. Now the threat and intimidation by Muslims throughout the countries of the European Union is growing at every level. And now Gaddafi is gone, but the threat of a worldwide “Muslim fundamentalist revolution” remains, and is stronger than ever, thanks to Barack Obama.

Jihadists, who were prominent among the resistance to Gaddafi from the very beginning of attempts to overthrow his government, recently revealed their goal of taking power in a post-Gaddafi government and creating an Islamic state. U.S. intelligence agencies announced this early in September. Where were these government agencies five months before that, when the uprisings began and were being universally hailed as bringing democracy and freedom?

If I knew, why didn’t Barack Obama and the U.S. intelligence services? Readers of my website AtlasShrugs.com are not surprised by what is happening in Libya, as I warned about it back in March and several times in April. Yes, I told ya so. And I told you back in February that the Muslim Brotherhood would be taking over in Egypt.

Obama did this. Was there any thought in Washington to what we were doing in Libya when it became evident back in March that al-Qaeda was in and among the “rebel” faction? The question still has not been answered: how is al-Qaeda preferable to Gaddafi?

Obama spent billions of your money to assist in the Islamic takedown of yet another country. America, under Barack Obama’s “leadership,” did this. And America will pay. The Obama legacy will not only be the degenerate spending which led to the economic downfall of this country; he will also go down in history as the first anti-freedom leader whose foreign policy led to serious attempts to reestablish a universal caliphate across the world.

Thousands dead, billions spent…for what? The only result will be the advance of what Reagan saw coming: the worldwide “Muslim fundamentalist revolution.”

Let’s hear it for another $60 billion infrastructure ‘stimulus’

All projects shovel ready, one would assume – or at least almost ready to be shovel ready:

The legislation would provide an immediate $50 billion investment in America’s roads, bridges and airports, and transit systems and establish a $10 billion national infrastructure bank to leverage private and public capital for longer-term infrastructure projects.

“This legislation will create hundreds of thousands of construction jobs rebuilding our roads, bridges and infrastructure,” said Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.

The measure would be financed by a 0.7 percentage point surcharge on income over $1 million.

The announcement by Senate Democrats came the day after Republicans scuttled a pared-back jobs measure designed to boost hiring of teachers and first responders.

That plan failed on a 50-50 test vote that fell well short of the 60 needed to break a filibuster. Two Democrats abandoned Obama on the vote and two more who voted with the president said they couldn’t support the underlying Obama plan unless it’s changed.

Some Republicans are getting nervous, believing that voting down Obama’s jobs bill piecemeal in this fashion will backfire with the public. I doubt it. The voters aren’t buying it anymore after nearly a trillion spent on stimulus projects in 2009 and nothing really to show for it.

Obama has shot his wad on “stimulating” the economy with massive handouts to his labor allies. Another $60 billion in wasted money hasn’t a chance of passing, nor will the public hold it against the GOP for opposing the plan.

Occupy Melbourne Protesters Forcibly Removed by Police

Warning! Progressives’ NPV Plan for White House Control, 2012 & Permanently

While the lamestream media holds public attention on GOP candidate rivalries, a “progressive” strategy is underway to eliminate the role of the states in electing a U.S. President. By transferring electoral votes to a “national popular vote” this “Compact” would usurp the role of the states as safeguarded by our Constitution. In doing so, it could also neutralize Obama’s critics — totally.

This may be the most vital – and time sensitive – expose WAM has ever uncovered and shared! And it’s happening now, under the radar, with the general public in the dark. This “ultimate vote fraud” is intentionally complicated to keep it obscure until it’s too late to stop it.

This complete expose on the “National Popular Vote Compact” won’t be found elsewhere. Because of the complexity and urgency of this issue. read it through completely. See who is behind this scheme and what its intended consequences are.

Then spread the word in your blogs, forums and forward to all your contacts now. There is still time to block the NPVC sufficient states passage – only if we act now!

All of US urgently need to contact our State Assemblymen, State Senators and Governors to vehemently oppose this covert measure! See below the real facts of this manipulation of the Constitution and American electorate. See Your State Status and action needed in last column.

chilean mine disaster

We all remember the horrible ordeal of 33 mindrs in Chile who narrowly escaped disaster when their mine collapsed last fall. As we all knew, a movie is in the works. There is a lesson here for the critics of capitalism.

Of course, leftists will argue that there wouldn’t have been any need for mines if we were all communists, since the miners would never have been trapped deep in the earth in the first place. It was greedy capitalists that opened the mine. These anti-capitalists probably sent their anti-capitalist message to their commie comrades on smart phones developed by other capitalist companies that use copper from the Chilean mine.[1]

The same type of anti-capitalist hypocrisy is found on college and university campuses. Students protest against capitalism and promote socialism and Marxism never thinking that it’s capitalism that makes these institutions of higher learning possible. And when they graduate, they make a bee-line to job fairs to seek employment by the same companies that their anti-capitalist professors railed against, the same professors who are dependent on capitalism for their jobs. Jerry Rubin (1938–1994) was a social activist from the 1960s. His visit to Cuba was said to be “inspirational.” When he was finished corrupting the minds of young people for a decade or more, Rubin became an entrepreneur and businessman. He was an early investor in Apple Computer. Rubin finally figured it out: “wealth creation is the real American revolution—what we need is an infusion of capital into the depressed areas of our country.”

I didn’t see Hugo Chavez involved in the rescue. Fidel wasn’t there, either. The drills and rigging came from the United States. “The drilling rig that blasted through more than 2,000 feet of rock was made by Schramm Inc. of West Chester, Pa., near Philadelphia, and the drilling bits came from Center Rock Inc. of Berlin, Pa., 80 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.” Fortunately the Chilean mine disaster happened before liberals destroy our economy and there won’t be any need for drilling equipment because we’ll all be forging for our food and building our hopes out of sod and stone.

The rescue was more than drilling a hole in the ground and building a capsule to extract the men safely. The men were still thousands of feet underground encapsulated in a rock hewn opening that in another era would have served as their burial chamber. Consider these capitalistic innovations reported in the Wall Street Journal that went into the rescue:
