Fed Judge Sides With Teen Atheist & Orders Public School to Remove Prayer Mural

A federal judge has ruled in favor of a teenage atheist whose fight for the removal of a prayer mural in her public high school in Cranston, Rhode Island, has attracted national attention.

Here’s a news report from April 2011, during which Ahlquist discusses her opposition to the mural:

In the ruling, U.S. District Court Judge Ronald Lagueux said that the school must remove the banner immediately. Additionally, he decided that legal fees should be provided to the plaintiff.

Ditzy Debbie outdoes herself

Debbie Wasserman Shultz might be the best thing that Republicans have going for them right now. No, that is not a typo. The more that this brainless woman flaps her gums, the more inane her comments seem to become. Hopefully her baseless hysteric ignorance will be a turnoff to the voters of this nation. In fact, Darling Debbie is illustrative of the origin of the word “hysteric.” Here you go … from Wikipedia:

In the Western world, until the seventeenth century, hysteria referred to a medical condition thought to be particular to women and caused by disturbances of the uterus (from the Greek ὑστέρα “hystera” = uterus)

In some ways I feel for her … she does have a rather difficult job: defending Barack Obama and his failed policies. You need to know that many, if not most, Democrats don’t much like Obama either; but he’s theirs and they have to live with the ugly person they brought to the dance. But on the other hand, you get the feeling that this woman truly believes the things that she is saying. If so, she is one of the most ignorant people in public service in this country. But .. that goes hand-in-hand with being a Democrat. Remember that being called a “democrat” used to be an insult. It meant one who panders to the mindless whims of the masses. Ditzy Debbie is most assuredly a democrat. I guess that’s OK, though, if you believe that to be your road to power.

Just when you thought she had hit some sort of ignoranus peak, she comes out with this unbelievably partisan quote:

“We need to make sure that we tone things down, particularly in light of the Tucson tragedy from a year ago, where my very good friend, Gabby Giffords — who is doing really well, by the way, — [was shot]. The discourse in America, the discourse in Congress in particular . . . has really changed, I’ll tell you. I hesitate to place blame, but I have noticed it take a very precipitous turn towards edginess and lack of civility with the growth of the Tea Party movement.”

Now we all know at this point that the guy who did the shooting in Tucson is a certified lunatic who had no desire to score any political points whatsoever. That doesn’t matter to Democrats. They will continue to do everything they can to paint the tea party as extreme. Their focus group sessions show them that people don’t like the word “extreme.” They associate it with extreme weather, extreme temperatures, being extremely sick, etc. So use it to refer to Republicans every chance you get. For Ditzy Debby to try and pin the blame of one deranged man’s actions on the rhetoric of the tea party is beyond insulting to the American people.

Oh .. and need we bring up the OccuTards? There has been tons of violence at Occupy demonstrations around the country, and you can’t find one verified report of violence from a participant in a Tea Party rally. OccuIdiots left their occupied sites full of trash .. and sometimes dead bodies. Tea Partiers always cleaned up. And I’m still waiting to see the a picture of a Tea Partier taking a crap on a police car. Edginess? Lack of Civility? That’s the occupiers, not the Tea Partiers.

That wasn’t all she had to say. She goes on to say, “when [the tea party] disagree with you on an issue, you’re not just wrong, you’re a liar.” Now you know that I don’t use the word “liar” lightly. Someone is lying only if they know what they are saying is untrue at the time they say it.
