Barack Obama’s America is eerily reminiscent of “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” where almost everybody sees the truth about their leader but is afraid to say it out loud.
The truth, in this case, is that the current occupant of the White House lies about virtually everything of importance to Americans. Barack Obama has lied about his birth, his childhood, his education, his influences and associations, his religion, his accomplishments, his policies, his true beliefs and his plans for America’s future. In fact, after more than three years as president, Obama’s lying has become so embarrassing and undeniable that the only defense his supporters have is to change the subject or to claim “Republicans do it too.”
But as documented in the scorching July issue of WND’s monthly Whistleblower magazine – titled “WHY OBAMA LIES” – America has never seen a chief executive misrepresent the truth as deliberately, recklessly and effortlessly as this one.

The word “earnings” is now inoperative.
You do know how politicians like to change words around .. especially Democrats. In government terms, “spending” has now become “investing.” A “tax” is actually a “penalty.” But there’s a new word out there …. And this is a word-change the GOP should embrace. Your “earnings” are now your “allowance.” That’s right … allowance.
I don’t know, do parent’s still do the allowance thing? Mine lasted through college. But what was your allowance based on? For most kids it was behavior. You do what your parents told you to do – you behaved in a certain way – and you got your full allowance. Transgressions – you ring your brother’s bell with a shot putt, or too much vermouth in your mother’s martini — and there’s a penalty to pay. Your allowance would be cut back.
Well .. here we are my friends! The government, largely acting in loco parentis, tells you how you must behave – buy health insurance – and if you don’t do what daddy tells you to do you get your allowance cut. You pay a penalty (or, according to law, a “tax.”)
The government used to use its taxing authority for pretty much one thing – to raise the revenue needed for the necessary and proper operations of government. Now we have the Supreme Court of the United States giving its approval to the use of the taxing authority to control behavior – with no apparent limitations on the types of behavior to be regulated.
Now I know .. there are various law regulating behavior on the books at all levels of government. Failure to maintain your property — allowing the grass to grow knee high – can result in a fine. But in every case I can think of those fines or penalties can only be assessed under some due process proceeding.
Much has been made of the Supreme Court ruling on healthcare last Thursday, and for good reason. The ruling was historic not only in it’s precedent-setting but also in it’s confounding application. The media world exploded with analysts and experts hypothesizing what the obtuse SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States) decision will mean for every aspect of American life into the future.
The Blaze was there on the steps of the court when the ruling came down. While we will leave the hyperbole to the pundits, we did have one question that needed answering:
“What does the Left really want out of healthcare?”
So we followed up with the multitude of progressive protesters that showed up that morning on the steps of the court. As they marched in a circle with custom signs we asked them:
“Why do you support Obamacare?”
“Do you think healthcare should be free?”

That’s a hard task, as Pelosi found out. After host David Gregory pressed her on the issue, Pelosi started talking in circles and caught herself in an almost-awkward position. Politico reports:
“It’s a penalty that comes under the Tax Code,” Pelosi said on NBC’s “Meet The Press” as host David Gregory pressed her to say whether she agreed with the Supreme Court, which deemed the law constitutional because the fee used to enforce the individual mandate amounts to a tax, or with President Barack Obama, who has maintained the fee is not a tax.
“It’s a ta—; it’s a penalty for free riders,” Pelosi said, nearly uttering the dreaded T-word before cutting herself off.
