Former Hill Staffer and Obama Admin. Official Accused of Drugging & Sexually Assaulting Women

A former Capitol Hill staffer and Obama administration official has been indicted on charges that he drugged several women and sexually assaulted them, according to the Washington Post.

Court papers say Donny Ray Williams Jr., 36, gave at least one woman Ambien and assaulted her while she was unconscious, the Post reported:

Williams was charged with 10 counts of first- and second-degree sexual abuse and related charges in connection with attacks that authorities said occurred between July and December 2010. During that time, according to his profile on the LinkedIn Web site, Williams was staff director of a Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs subcommittee.

A third woman made similar allegations against Williams, attorneys and Williams said, and a fourth woman said that he threatened her. As a result of that fourth allegation, Williams was indicted on one count of threatening to injure or kidnap a person. Additional details of that charge were not made public.

Hateful Proggie Bloggers Say Republicans ‘Condone Rape,’ Want ‘Rapists To Become Fathers’

Stay classy left-wingers…

Left-wingers have reached a new low in American politics. Rusty Weiss of The Mental Recession and Tony Katz of All Patriots Media caught this abysmal smear on the Facebook page “WeLoveToIrritateHatefulRepublicans.” It depicts a man about to sexually assault a woman with the caption “He’s decided to become a father…right-wing Republicans want to make sure he does.”

DNC security rules trigger free speech worries

Starting Saturday, someone walking through Charlotte’s central business district could run afoul of the law by carrying water bottles, hair spray, socks or magic markers under sweeping security rules enacted ahead of the Democratic National Convention.

It would take a particularly strict reading of the rules for someone to be arrested simply for possessing one of those items, but the possibility exists — which worries protesters and free speech advocates. They fear authorities could trample on people’s constitutional rights in the name of protecting public safety.

The changes to city ordinances adopted earlier this year for “extraordinary events” ban a long list of actions and items that would otherwise be legal from a more than 100-square-block zone. The area includes spots as much as a mile from the sports venues where the Democratic Party events are to be held.

The new rules have already been used for events before the convention and will remain on the books after it’s over.

The special rules that went into effect at 12:01 a.m. Saturday could also bar anyone other than government employees from carrying handbags and backpacks or possessing soda cans, drink coolers, scarves, bike helmets, baby strollers or pets not specifically permitted as service animals.

Hate-Filled DNC activists promise bigger crowds than Tampa

N.C. Protesters planning rallies and marches in Charlotte say their actions during the Democratic National Convention will likely dwarf those in Tampa, where thousands of demonstrators were expected but only hundreds showed up to the rain-drenched Republican National Convention.

A cross-section of people representing 90 groups planning to demonstrate during the DNC said they plan to bring their “Enough is Enough” messages to Charlotte starting Saturday. Friday’s press conference took place at the NoDa office that has become the headquarters for many protesters in Charlotte.

The Charlotte weather forecast calls for hot temperatures, but mostly clear skies. In Tampa, Hurricane Isaac washed out the first day of the protests and intermittent rain throughout the week frustrated the efforts of protesters.

“We’ll have more,” said Luis Rodriguez, with ActionNC, a nonprofit that works in low-income communities. “One of the things that brought down people’s enthusiasm in Tampa was the storm.”

Protesters and police in Charlotte have said they expect 2,000-10,000 protesters to descend on Charlotte. The numbers could be bolstered by protesters frustrated at their inability to share their message in Tampa.

California Legislature Passes Nation‘s First Bill Banning Gay ’Conversion Therapy’

California’s state legislature this week passed a first-of-its-kind ban on controversial therapy aimed at turning gay and lesbian youth straight, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

The fate of the legislation banning so-called “conversion” or “reparative therapy” for minors — even if their parents request it — now rests with Gov. Jerry Brown (D). He has not taken a public position on the issue. The legislation passed in the California assembly on Tuesday and a final version was approved by the state Senate Thursday.

If signed, the law would apply only to licensed psychologists and professional therapists, not counseling offered by religious groups, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Supporters of the measure say conversion therapy is ineffective and can contribute to depression and even suicide among LGBT youth.

“These attempts are quackery and this kind of psychological abuse of children must stop,” said state Sen. Ted Lieu (D), the bill’s author.

Several openly gay lawmakers cited their own personal experiences while championing the bill during a floor debate, Reuters reported.

“One of our No. 1 priorities in this house is to protect the next generation of Californians,” Assemblyman Ricardo Lara (D) said. “And some of those are sissy boys. And some of those sissy boys grow up to be assembly members. And some of those sissy boys need help. And we are here to stand with those sissy boys.”

DNC Speakers: The Usual Angry, Leftist Suspects

They can’t help themselves; the Democrats are angry, frustrated and scared, and the list of speakers they are trotting out reveals that they are more desperate than ever. Let’s take a look at these attack dogs (with a brief example of their gentle demeanors):

John Kerry, attacking the United States:

Each day to facilitate the process by which the United States washes her hands of Vietnam, someone has to give up his life so that the United States doesn’t have to admit something that the entire world already knows … so that we can’t say that we’ve made a mistake.

Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, insinuating Republicans are racist:

When you have a party that says coded things, that makes totally false ads up, falsely saying the president is trying to undo welfare reform, I think you’re going to see a lot of heavily and not-so-subtly coded messages from the Romney-Ryan campaign.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, 1996, referring to people who had betrayed his boss Bill Clinton in 1992:

Suddenly Emanuel grabbed his steak knife and, as those who were there remember it, shouted out the name of another enemy, lifted the knife, then brought it down with full force into the table. ‘Dead!’ he screamed. The group immediately joined in the cathartic release: ”Nat Landow! Dead! Cliff Jackson! Dead! Bill Schaefer! Dead!’

Nancy Pelosi, speaking of enforcing immigration laws: “I think it’s un-American.”

The gay-activist science deniers

Woe to any scientist with an interest in objectively researching and reporting on “LGBT”-related issues. If your findings fail the left’s socio-political “butterflies-and-rainbows” litmus test, the “progressive” establishment will try to destroy you – guaranteed. Thus, on these matters, honest scientific inquiry will require courage.

Kansas State University, July 2010: Family Studies professor Dr. Walter Schumm releases the most comprehensive study to date on the effects of homosexual “parenting.” Published in the Journal of Biosocial Science, the study determined, among other things:

Children raised in “gay” households are up to 12 times more likely to self-identify as “gay”;
Of those in their 20s – presumably after they’d been able to work out any adolescent confusion or experimentation – 58 percent of the children of lesbians called themselves “gay,” and 33 percent of the children of “gay” men called themselves “gay.” (Contrast these rates with current studies indicating that around 3 percent of the general population is homosexual.)

Just before the research was released, AOL News reported, “Schumm says it shouldn’t have taken until 2010 to do the meta-analysis. Too often his colleagues impose ‘liberal or progressive political interpretations’ on their studies, which inhibit further inquiry. ‘It’s kind of sad,’” he said.

Sad, yes, but it’s also by design. “I just want to know the truth about something,” he confessed. Unfortunately, there are many with an extreme socio-political agenda who depend entirely upon suppressing the truth.

MSNBC’s Touré Neblett: For Women and Minorities, ‘Our Rights Do Not Come From God or Nature’

Near the end of his Wednesday night speech at the Republican National Convention, vice-presidential nominee Paul Ryan told his audience and the nation that “sometimes, even presidents need reminding, that our rights come from nature and God, not from government.”

John Hayward at Human Events noted that MSNBC’s Touré Neblett did not handle Ryan’s self-evident assertion very well. In fact, Thursday morning, Toure went into a bit of a tirade:

Code Pink Co-Founder Medea Benjamin Reacts to ‘Occupy Unmasked’

Medea Benjamin, left-wing activist and co-founder of Code Pink, has mixed feelings about Citizens United’s new film “Occupy Unmasked.”

Benjamin, who was featured in the film, told Breitbart News, “I don’t think it represents what the Occupy movement is all about… I think it took a small minority view and blew it up to represent the Occupy movement, so I don’t think it’s truthful.”

When asked whether or not she thought there were any parts of the film that were accurate, Benjamin explained, “it took little bits and pieces here and there but put it together in a framework that was totally inaccurate.”

She did, however, elaborate that, “if it inspires discussion and if it gets people talking to each other and if when the movie is out, they invite people from the occupy movement to come in and have a discussion, then I think it could be positive.”

Benjamin also spoke candidly about the relationship between Code Pink and one of the country’s top anarchist and union protest organizers, Lisa Fithian, who is also featured in the film.
