‘Sesame Street’ to Teach Kids on How to Cope With Jailed, Liberal Mommy

“Sesame Street” is teaching kids how to cope with an imprisoned liberal parent.

The NY Post reported, via News Commenter:

It’s brought to you by the letter P — for prison.

PBS’s “Sesame Street” is moving from ABCs and counting numbers to offering its young viewers a bigger lesson in life: how to cope when Mommy or Daddy lands behind bars.

Called “Little Children, Big Challenges: Incarceration,” the program is distributing “tool kits’’ to schools, community centers and even jails in 10 states — including New York — starting today to help kids ages 3 to 8, organizers said.

According to one “tip’’ for caregivers, “Before you visit your incarcerated loved one, let your child know some of the things she can expect to happen. For instance, ‘We won’t be able to sit in the same room with Mommy, but we can see her through a window and read a story together.’ ’’

“Phone calls are a great way to reach out,’’ another offers.

Obama Will Veto Religious Freedom for Troops

The Founding Fathers Would Start Over

ImageHR 1960, the NDAA of 2014, would allow servicemen the right to be Christian,  Servicemen would have the right to mention Jesus, display their Bibles, have and share views that reflect their beliefs; you know, be openly Christian.  This is not acceptable to the president of the United States, their commander in chief.  Homosexuals may be openly abominable in today’s military, but Christians must be shoved in the closet or shoved out the door.

The powers controlling our government, as well as the disgusting little empty suit sitting in the White House would just as soon all Christians leave the military, anyway.  They can’t rely on the Christians to follow the orders that will be given sometime in the possibly near future.  As a matter of fact, Christians should be seriously questioning foreign policy, right now!  Today, Christians are being slaughtered by the very same Islamists this administration is funding…

Muslim Lawyers in South Africa Submit 600-Page Complaint Calling for War Crimes Prosecution

The Muslim Lawyers Association (MLA) in Johannesburg has submitted a 600-plus page document to the Office of the National Director of Public Prosecution calling for the arrest and prosecution of President Barack Obama when he visits South Africa later this month.

The submitted document calls for authorities to “arrest Obama when he visits.” The group says Obama has ordered drone strikes that killed innocent civilians, warranting a formal investigation.

“The complaint, dubbed the ‘Obama Docket’ encourages South Africa to take seriously its domestic and international obligations and to act against International War Criminals lest they consider South Africa a safe haven and travel here freely with impunity,” the Muslim group announced in a press release.

Obama Includes Evangelical Christians on List of Religious Extremists

The above slide came from a U.S. Army Reserve Equal Opportunity training brief titled “Extremism and Extremist Organizations.” The Obama Administration included Evangelical Christians with Al-Qaeda and the Ku Klux Klan.

Now this…
The Obama Administration “strongly objects” to a proposed amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act that would have protected the religious rights of soldiers – including evangelical Christian service members who are facing growing hostility towards their religion.

Revolt Among Republicans on Immigration Bill: 70 House Members Risk Careers in Planned Showdown With Leadership

Seventy House Republicans are planning a politically risky showdown with Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to try to force additional debate on an immigration bill they say will mean amnesty for illegal immigrants and have dire consequences for the country.

The 70 members are petitioning for a special Republican conference meeting on the bill, a “highly unusual” move to go head-to-head with the speaker, according to Reps. Michele Bachmann (Minn.), Steve King (Iowa) and Louie Gohmert (Texas), who are serving as spokespersons for the group.

Bachmann, King and Gohmert told TheBlaze the group is invoking the Hastert Rule: requiring support from a majority of the majority to bring a bill forward.

The petition is expected to go to the House leadership on Friday, but it’s possible some signatories might remove their names due to political risk, or that Boehner could head off the challenge by striking a deal. Going against leadership in such a way could have harsh political consequences for the signatories, including retaliation such as permanently getting passed over for chairmanship positions.

A Boehner spokesman did not immediately return a request for comment.

TX High School Officials Threaten to Sabotage Valedictorian’s Naval Academy Appointment

Todd Starnes at FOX News reported:

A Texas high school principal threatened to sabotage a valedictorian’s appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy after the student delivered a speech that referenced God and the U.S. Constitution, Fox News has learned.

Hiram Sasser, director of litigation with the Liberty Institute, said Joshua High School principal Mick Cochran threatened to write a letter to the U.S. Naval Academy disparaging the character of Remington Reimer.

“It was intimidating having my high school principal threaten my future because I wanted to stand up for the Constitution and acknowledge my faith and not simply read a government approved speech, the teenager said.

Sasser is now representing the teenager and is calling for the Joshua Independent School District to issue a public statement exonerating him of any wrongdoing.

He said the speech was edited and reviewed by four different school officials – including an officer in the JROTC. Sasser said the censorship violated federal and state laws.
“All he did was simply follow state law and Joshua ISD policy,” he said.

Reimer, a senior at Joshua High School, made national headlines on June 6 when officials cut off his microphone in mid-speech after he strayed from pre-approved remarks and began talking about his relationship with Jesus Christ.
