One part of the Obama administration is working at cross purpose against another agency.
On the one hand, the FBI says two dozen Americans may be fighting with Al Qaeda-linked groups against the Syrian government, and worries that they may become radicalized (as if fighting with Syrian jihadists isn’t “radical” enough) and carry out attacks in the US.
At the same time, however, the State Department is blithely “considering” forging closer ties with exactly those same Syrian jihadists.
