Threat to the grid? Details emerge of sniper attack on power station

power_grid.jpgNewly reported details about a 52-minute sniper attack on a central California electrical substation last year are raising concerns from Capitol Hill and beyond, amid questions over whether it was the work of terrorists.
The April 16, 2013, attack had not been widely publicized until The Wall Street Journal reported new details in a story on Wednesday. The attack reportedly started when at least one person entered an underground vault to cut telephone cables, and attackers fired more than 100 shots into Pacific Gas & Electric’s Metcalf transmission substation, knocking out 17 transformers. Electric officials were able to avert a blackout, but it took 27 days to repair the damage.

Israel is once again feeling the brunt of the Obama administration’s enemy centric foreign policy. First, Secretary Kerry put our ally Israel in an untenable position with the deal he brokered with Iran over its nuclear ambitions, then he suggested that Israel could face “delegitimization” and “boycott” campaigns if it didn’t agree on the Obama administration’s idea of a peace deal with the Palestinians, and now he’s denouncing Israel for building homes in a Jewish neighborhood in Jerusalem. The Israelis are quite appropriately upset about the treatment they’ve received from Kerry. And how has the Obama administration responded? Well, National Security Advisor and former UN Ambassador Susan Rice went on Twitter to chastise Israel for criticizing Kerry! What is this – junior high school diplomacy? What next – using Facebook…

Happy Birthday, President Reagan

askmarion

Today marks the birthday of Ronald Wilson Reagan, 40th president of the United States of America.

Joshua Pundit:

Reagan became president when the United States was in a period of great stress, just after the tenure of Jimmy Carter. Inflation and interest rates were in double digits and unemployment was close to 7%, taxes were at an all time high, America’s foreign policy and international prestige were reeling from the Iranian hostage crisis, severe cutbacks in defense and successful Soviet penetration all over the world.

Worse than that, Americans seemed to have lost confidence in themselves and in the country’s greatness.

Reagan squared his shoulders, rolled up his sleeves and got to work. He cut government, cut taxes, and oversaw the creation of 16 million new jobs and economic growth at 3.5 % per year. He rebuilt America’s military. He was unafraid to call the Soviet Union an evil…

Black History Month: Increase Demands For Obama Impeachment Now!

GulfDogs

Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke eloquently and forcefully about an America where black people were forced to endure a shameful condition. Well, black people can look no further than the White House to find a man who has been perpetrating a fraud and a shameful condition against black Americans for five years.

Most every black family and most likely every young black child who lived anywhere in America had to be celebrating the day that Barack Obama took the oath of office as the first person of color to occupy the White House as president. Now a half decade later, those same black families and same black adults and teens have seen their incomes, life savings and job opportunities spiraling downward like an avalanche.

Five years into Barack Obama’s presidency, the number of African-Americans participating in the labor force has hit rock bottom and now threatens to even go…

Socialism Isn’t Just Knocking On Your Door, It’s Inside!

The Conservative Patriot

By Martin O’Sullivan, host of The Marty O Radio Show

Image“The American Public Overwhelmingly Voted for Socialism When They Elected President Obama” – Al Sharpton, March 2010

“The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.” – Margaret Thatcher

Hindsight is so revealing. We are a country that is being changed, and initially we were not lied to about it. We were told by The President “Hope and Change”.  That word ‘change’ was not symbolic of making things better. That word ‘change’ was the direct meaning of Socialism. However, who would have voted for Obama with the campaign slogan “Hope and Socialism”. What has been done in the past 5 years, and what is on the drawing board for the next three cannot be described as anything other than the deliberate reforming of America to Socialism. Oh, and by the way, that means the Constitution…
