Greetings from Tropicana Field, where the news of the day was first baseman Chris Davis, who took 25 swings and did 30 throws out of the field. Both were the first time since he suffered a left oblique strain. Davis, who simulated fielding, will be out and moving around for the team’s batting practice. He could be fielding in the next few days.
*T.J. McFarland is here, as I blogged yesterday when he was scratched from his Triple-A start, and there’s no word on a corresponding move just. The O’s did post their lineup and have all of their bench accounted for, meaning another pitcher is going for McFarland. The O’s are opening a stretch of 26 games in 27 games tonight.
