New WH Spin: Criticism of Taliban Swap is Really Just About Obama ‘Hatred’

What Did You Say?

He served with honor and distinction … as a new Taliban recruit. Though likely viewed initially with xenophobic suspicion often shared amongst Islamists — especially after being “AWOL” from the Taliban for a short period — it looks like he eventually became accepted as one of their own. This could only happen if Bergdahl said and done things that were in line with the Taliban’s own violent Jihadist ideology and the teachings of Islam

Qur’an Sura 9:5, 11, “But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them … if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then [they are] your brethren in religion …”
