Senator Tim Scott Wins HUGE Victory in Primary; Left Goes on the Attack
South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, who was appointed to the position of Senator by Governor Nikki Haley following Jim DeMint’s resignation to head the Heritage Foundation, is primed to reign victorious in the general election. His showing in the primary was a massive victory with more than 90% of the vote. If he wins the general, a feat he is expected to easily accomplish, he will be the first black Senator to ever be elected from South Carolina.
Scott won his primary victory in a much more decided fashion that senior Lindsey Graham. While Graham faced multiple opponents and managed to garner 62% of the vote, Scott, who has been a favorite of the Tea Party in South Carolina, faced only one non-serious challenger.

WASHINGTON (June 11, 2014) – Republican tea party forces are rejoicing and the party establishment is somber or altogether silent in the wake of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s primary defeat at the hands of political neophyte David Brat, an unflinching foe of loosening immigration laws.

WASHINGTON (AP) – Immigration may have cost Majority Leader Eric Cantor his election. His defeat almost certainly dooms the issue in the House.
Cantor, R-Va., was supposed to cruise to victory in Tuesday’s GOP primary over Dave Brat, an underfunded political novice who is an economics professor at Randolph-Macon College.
