Account of Clinton Aide’s Benghazi Document Sifting Familiar to Career Public Servant

To Sonya Gilliam, a recent account of improper sorting of Benghazi-related documents at the State Department brought back vivid memories of her own encounters with high-level government officials who withheld, deleted or destroyed public records.
And one name stood out for its familiarity: Cheryl Mills.
A former deputy assistant secretary of state had told The Daily Signal that Mills was present during an after-hours document operation in a basement room of the State Department in October 2012. Mills was chief of staff to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The purpose of the session, former State Department official Raymond Maxwell said, was to “separate” documents damaging to Clinton before records were turned over to an independent review board probing the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attacks on…

(Reuters) – The U.S. Army warned on Monday that mandatory budget cuts due to resume in fiscal 2016 would be devastating to a service that is already facing huge risks as it tries to keep forces ready for battle, replace aging equipment and respond to crises around the world.
“We have to have a national security debate … because there is too much going on,” U.S. Army Chief of Staff General Ray Odierno told reporters at the annual Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) conference.
Odierno said the Army had agreed to further reduce the size of its active force to 450,000 troops from an earlier goal of 490,000 to comply with…

Calling it “an irresponsible overreach of the executive branch’s authority,” Senator Charles Grassley, ranking Republican on the Judiciary Committee, is criticizing an executive order issued by the president that would allow at least 100,000 Haitian nationals into the United States to be “reunited with their families.”

WHEN ISLAM ISSUES THREAT

Over a year ago I launched myself into the rising Progressive tide as a
conservative writer. Two novels, a long delayed knee jerk reaction begun
in 2005, landed themselves among the millions of cyber pages on Amazon.
The writing world is the Arts world. The heart wrenching abyss comprised of
wandering souls all attempting to climb out to the surface so their fellow
terrestrials may one day take note of their presence. And the scale for the
conservative writer will be the most arduous, as the inclined terrain is impeded
while the Progressive heel attempts to shove you back down into the dark.
Recently I received my first death threat for one of my comments on the caustic
elements that make up the poison of Islam. “The Spirit of Mohamed Atta,” a
troll who appears periodically…

BOOM: Dr. Carson Ask ed if He’d Serve as Obama’s Surgeon Gene ral… His Response is LEGENDARY

a12iggymom's Blog

Conservatives will probably not be surprised to hear that Dr. Ben Carson has little interest in serving as President Barack Obama’s surgeon general. His reasoning, however, may be a little different that what they might expect.
Dr. Carson recently appeared on Hugh Hewitt’s radio program and was asked if we would consider accepting such a nomination, if asked.

“No, no,” the retired neurosurgeon replied without hesitation.”Because if I would, if I were going to serve in that position, I would have to serve under someone that I trusted.”

There’s no reason to be. Dr. Carson just said he doesn’t trust President Obama.

Very Brave: Ebola-Infected Nurse Nina Pham in Fair Condition

a12iggymom's Blog

Nina Pham, the Ebola-infected nurse flown from a Dallas hospital to a National Institutes of Health isolation unit, is doing well, sitting up and eating, doctors said Friday. Pham, 26, is one of two health-care workers infected while caring for Thomas Eric Duncan, the Liberian man who died at Texas Health Presbyterian hospital on Oct. 8.

“She (is) in fair condition,” Dr. Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told reporters outside the Bethesda, Maryland hospital. “We fully intend to have this patient walk out of this hospital.”

Pham is tired after a long trip, hospital officials told reporters outside the NIH clinical center, a large research hospital that has a special isolation unit. “She is resting comfortably, She is interacting with the staff. She is eating,” said Dr. Rick Davey, deputy clinical director at the NIAID, one of the NIH institutes, who examined Pham.

Obama warns against Ebola “hysteria”

Obama warns against Ebola

London (AFP) – Aid agency Oxfam on Saturday said Ebola could become the “definitive humanitarian disaster of our generation”, as US President Barack Obama urged against “hysteria” in the face of the growing crisis.

Oxfam, which works in the two worst-hit countries — Liberia and Sierra Leone — called for more troops, funding and medical staff to be sent to tackle the west African epicentre of the epidemic.

Chief executive Mark Goldring warned that the world was “in the eye of a storm”.

“We cannot allow Ebola to immobilise us in fear, but… countries that have failed to commit troops, doctors and enough funding are in danger of costing lives,” he said.

The worst-ever outbreak of the deadly virus has so far killed more than 4,500 people, mainly in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, but isolated cases have now begun to appear…
