A CIVILIAN MILITRY AS STRONG AND AS WELL FUNDED AS THE AMERICAN MILITARY

President Barack Obama today introduced his plan for a progressive takeover of state and local policing.

“We have a great opportunity… to really transform how we think about community law enforcement relations,” he said Monday.

“We need to seize that opportunity… this is something that I’m going to stay very focused on in the months to come,” Obama said, as he touted a new interim report from his Task Force on 21st Century Policing.

Obama also instructed his media allies to help a federalization of policing, and to sideline critics of centralized policing rules. “I expect our friends in the media to really focus on what’s in this report and pay attention to it.”

Former Jordanian Minister: We Must Not Allow Iranian Presence On Our Borders, Even At The Price Of War

In the February 19, 2015 installment of his weekly column in Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, former Jordanian information minister Saleh Al-Qallab said that Iran is now on Jordan’s border, having recently deployed military units in southern Syria. He added that Iran was striving to redraw the map of the region while subjecting it to its influence. He also noted that Iran’s current moves matched the predictions…

So the old comparison the Jihad or the Crusades? The question answered and illustrated that there really is no comparison, and not a moral equivalence either. So Obama trots out the philosophical question – as if it were one.

Bill Warner developed a nice summary.

Does it sort of make you wonder what Obama’s intentions are and where he is going with his thesis, and what he wanted to accomplish?

It doesn’t take Solomon to answer that, and you don’t have to split a baby over it …unless of course you like splitting babies. Just get people to talk about the Crusades.

Some liberal pundit said that Obama was just trolling them at the prayer-breakfast for a reaction, and he got one. (he he) Right, his job is to provoke us. If he learned one thing from sitting in the pew of Rev. Wright’s church for 20 years, it was…

WASHINGTON – The popular culture and the ad world haven’t forgotten how precious life is – not entirely anyway.

While Madison Avenue is paying close attention to the effectiveness of ads debuting on the Super Bowl, it’s also marveling at the appeal of a series of new commercials from the name that has become synonymous with disposable diapers – Pampers.

The Pampers people are launching ads celebrating babies – and doing it, so far, without controversy.

One ad on YouTube that debuted in the last month – “A Newborn Journey of Firsts” – has already racked up nearly 1 million views. And the commercials are enjoyed internationally – like one called “Mom’s First Birthday,” targeted at the Japanese market.

The ads show the first sonogram, the baby’s first word, the first detection of a heartbeat and the first tears of joy.

“From the first scan to the first cuddle, every…
