Freedom Before All Else….

Many conservative groups have sprouted up over the past year. The Tea Party Patriots, the whole Tea Party movement, the 9-12 project and Americans For Prosperity are just a few. These groups have great heart and a good purpose. In all honesty, these groups have become an easy target for those against freedom to label certain groups and ideas. They, in and among themselves, have been a way for our enemies to destroy us. However, many are also becoming splintered because of certain ideas and groups within the larger movement. Some individuals in these groups are promoting single issues before what is most important. In all truth, there are two things most important that we, as Americans, must stand behind and fight for, as one group, one citizenry and one people. Those two things are simply, the Constitution of the United States of America and Freedom!

If we do not stand for these two ideas and the way of life they represent, what else actually matters? Without Freedom, we lose who we are as individuals, we lose our souls. Right now, we can see ourselves losing more and more Freedom each and every day. Our government says we need more security, more legislation, more rules, that all risks must be taken away. They seem to be trying to create sameness, misery if you will. Please, do not underestimate this regime. They know exactly what they are doing, and many of Americans continue to let them move us into a totalitarian country.

There is a great line from Mel Gibson in “Braveheart” where he says, on the battlefield, “They may take our lives, but they will never take our freedom!” What will our lives to be without Freedom? What will our lives be worth, especially considering that a government official will be making healthcare decisions for us where all individualism loses worth and governmental money prevails?

Americans throughout the past have always done what is right. We have stood for individualism, Freedom and the rights given to man by our creator. However, most of the world has fought against these things, starting many years before this great country was born. Those who have fought against these ideas have always failed. Unfortunately, totalitarian regimes have always lost, only because of violent uprisings from the people. This is where the people of America have a great opportunity before us. We can halt this attempt to socialize America through non-violence-only because of the people, only because of each and every one of you.

The ideals and beliefs of the people of this country is what has made America what is has always been, the shining city on the hill. Once again we find ourselves at a crossroad, although, maybe one of much more importance than ever before. We have the people, the ideas, the heart to do what is necessary to return this country back to the people. I ask this though: do the people of this country have the will to put government back into their place? As a necessary evil only and not a regime that tries to control the decisions and lives of the people it is supposed to protect.

Freedom and individuality along with personal responsibility has for too long, been eroded away and put into hindsight. Now we must put them into the forefront as we march behind them down the road of revitalizing America. Do we need a revolution, or just a revitalization? We have everything we need to bring this country back to prosperity. Those things are in our Constitution and in our hearts and minds. Now is the time for people to get motivated; not under many ideas, but just one. That one idea is Freedom. With it, we can do wonders and live extraordinary lives; without it, everything is futile.

We have a long road ahead of us in this country. The choice is ours, the time is now.

We do, in fact, live in a strange time here in America. We know man can be inherently evil, however, our politicians are even more so. Our own government calls the ones defending and staning for the Constitution of the United States extremists, while allowing Islam to march all over our free speech and threaten American citizens with death. If we are the extremists, what are those who are in the process of destroying our Constitution, our freedom, and our way of life?

I have many more questions than answers at this point. I do, however, understand these evil men who lead our government must be stopped before they bring death and destruction to the United States just as Socialism has done throughout the history of the world.

Robert Gibbs Criticizes Sarah Palin On Oil Spill Comment

Sarah Palin appeared on Fox News Sunday over the weekend and criticized the President’s response to the BP oil disaster in the Gulf and wondered aloud if perhaps all those campaign contributions he has received from oil companies and BP in particular has skewed his response.  She said, “I don’t know why the question isn’t asked by the mainstream media and by others if there’s any connection with the contributions made to President Obama and his administration and the support by the oil companies to the administration.  If there’s any connection there to President Obama taking so doggone long to get in there, to dive in there, and grasp the complexity and the potential tragedy that we are seeing here in the Gulf of Mexico — now, if this was President Bush or if this were a Republican in office who hadn’t received as much support even as President Obama has from B.P. and other oil companies, you know the mainstream media would be all over his case.”

There is no doubt that the Obama administration has been abysmal in their response.  Obama has done one flyover and now weeks later, Ken Salazar and Janet “Nappy” Napalitano are finally going to do a flyover today.  And supposedly President Bush screwed up on Hurricane Katrina?!  President Obama has received the largest donation from BP and its derivatives in the last twenty years.  That would cause one to wonder.  So what is the response from the White House?

White House Spokesmoron provided the response on another Sunday show.   He said, “Sarah Palin was involved in that election but, I don’t think she was paying a whole lot of attention.  I’m almost sure that the oil companies don’t consider the Obama administration a huge ally.  My suggestion to Sarah Palin would be to get slightly more informed as to what’s going on in and around oil drilling in this country.”  Gibbs should take his own advise and get more informed…on anything.  How many press briefings have we suffered through observing Gibbs respond with, “Ah…ah…umm…uh…I need to check into that?”  That is precisely why he is the Spokesmoron.

The truth is hard to hide from and the truth is that Obama received $77,051, the most given to any candidate by BP.  Critics point out that Republicans have received far more from the oil and gas industry as a whole, which is true, but a Democratic administration is in charge right now and BP is the gas and oil company responsible here.

L.A. Becomes Largest City To Boycott Arizona/Time to Boycott L.A.?

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ―

The City Council voted 13-1 Wednesday to approve sanctions that could include canceling some $8 million in contracts with the state of Arizona.

Los Angeles on Wednesday became the largest city yet to boycott Arizona over its tough new law targeting illegal immigration in a move that likely will affect some $8 million in contracts with the state.

The City Council voted 13-1 to bar Los Angeles from conducting business with Arizona unless the law is repealed. The vote followed an emotional council discussion during which many members noted that their ancestors were U.S. immigrants.

“Los Angeles is the second-largest city in this country. An immigrant city, an international city needs to have its voice heard,” Councilman Ed Reyes said.

–Maybe it is time to boycott L.A. and all those cities and states who do not stand up for the rule of law. Those boycotting Arizona are backing illegals and putting them ahead of legal U.S. citizens. It is time for this madness to stop…–U.S. Constitutional Free Press Contributor Opinion.

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa already has said he would approve the boycott.

Although Arizona’s law has been modified to forbid police from using race to stop people, opponents say racial profiling is inevitable, CBS 2/KCAL 9’s Mark Coogan reported.

“We must say stop… this is a law that we think is wrong. It’s going in the wrong direction,” Councilwoman Janice Hahn said.

The proposal could affect investments and contracts worth as much as $52 million, including contracts for airport, harbor and trucking services, according to a report from the city’s chief legislative analyst. That report recommends the council consider suspending travel, cutting contracts and refraining from making any new ones with Arizona-based companies.

Hahn, who co-authored the resolution, said it would be impractical to cancel most of those deals and only about $7 million to $8 million in city contracts probably would be affected.

“US Airways is based in Arizona and they certainly fly in and out (of Los Angeles)” and it would hardly be feasible to end those flights, Hahn said before the council vote.

Hahn said the Los Angeles boycott also won’t affect the city’s Department of Water and Power, which has wind farm and nuclear energy contracts in Arizona. Among the contracts with Arizona companies that conceivably could be terminated include those for helicopter services, Taser guns, waste management, engineering and surveillance equipment.

Hahn said “the best scenario” would be to turn around and give those contracts to California suppliers.

The resolution claims that Arizona’s new law encourages racial profiling and is unconstitutional. The law, set to take effect July 29, requires police enforcing another law to question a person about his or her immigration status if there is “reasonable suspicion” that the person is in the United States illegally and makes it a state crime to be in the country illegally. Several lawsuits seeking to block its implementation are pending in U.S. District Court in Phoenix.

Some polls have shown strong popular support for the Arizona law and critics are concerned that other states may follow up with their own versions.

Several cities across the country have passed resolutions or urged boycotts to protest the law, including California cities such as Oakland and San Diego. A nonbinding resolution approved Tuesday by San Francisco city supervisors urges a boycott of Arizona-based businesses and asks sports leagues not to hold championship games or tournaments there.

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer said the boycotts are unfortunate and misguided, primarily because the law mirrors a federal requirement that legal immigrants carry immigration papers.

“It’s already the law in the United States, and I have a responsibility to stand up and protect the people of Arizona and we will do that,” Brewer said Tuesday.

Charges that the law will lead to racial profiling are “just pure rhetoric,” Brewer said.

“I find it really interesting that we have people out there that are attempting a boycott in favor of illegal actions in Arizona. That to me is just unbelievable.”

Of the resolution in Los Angeles, Hahn said: “We want to stand back and say that we’re against it. We’re hoping that Arizona will be the last state to do this instead of just the first state to do it.”

The city staged a similar economic boycott against South Africa during apartheid and against Colorado after voters in 1992 passed a state law repealing local ordinances that banned discrimination against homosexuals.

**It is time to boycott those cities who will not stand up for the rule of law and legal U.S citizens. if L.A does not wish to protect its lawful citizens and the rule of law, it is time we let them know how the American Citizen Feels.–U.S Constitutional Free Press Contributor Opinion**

Tea Party Still Strong And Growing

Before the mainstream media focused its biased efforts into painting the Tea Party Movement as a violent and racist group of disgruntled people promoting incendiary and threatening rhetoric, ie: “targeting” certain representatives and “fire” them all, the media has bent over backwards to claim that the movement is just an arm of the Republican Party. While it is true that many tea partiers hold Republican voter cards, independents and democrats are beginning to embrace the ideals that the Tea Party Movement is based upon and have begun to attend rallies. Polls taken over the last couple of weeks reveal that Independents and Democrats combined make up a larger group of tea party attendees then Republicans.

CNN reported, “Some Americans who say they have been sympathetic to Democratic causes in the past — some even voted for Democratic candidates — are angry with President Obama and his party. They say they are now supporting the Tea Party — a movement that champions less government, lower taxes and the defeat of Democrats even though it’s not formally aligned with the Republican Party.”   The recent passage of ObamaCare seems to be stirring more of this “buyer’s remorse” in Democrats. The idea that a government would cram an unconstitutional bill down the throats of a public that has overwhelmingly rejected that bill, does not sit well with anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Some on the left believe that support in the conservative grassroots is waning and that opposition in November will be low. They still assume we are a Republican phenomenon. They assume that the loss over ObamaCare has sent us home with our tails between our legs. They believe we have foggy memories and will forget about how angry we are with the government. They think we will not show up in November 2010. They are dead wrong! We are not going anywhere and we are still mad as hell!

I have attended several tea parties and stood next to registered Democrats, Independents and Libertarians. Most speakers at tea party events do not rail against the Democrat Party, but against the government in its entirety with special focus on the Republican Party’s failures since the GOP has long been associated with a platform of lower taxes, less spending and less government intrusion. The typical Democrat would feel quite welcome and find some of their same concerns addressed as well.

And most Americans who are paying attention, realize that saving our country and restoring it to a Constitutional Republic is based on principles and not party. This week is “tax” week and the media and naysayers will witness that the Tea Party Movement is still strong and will still be a force to be reckoned with. Well over a million people are esxpected to turn out for Tax Day Tea Parties across the nation. Our apathy in the past helped lead us to this place. We take responsibility for that and are dedicated to not allowing our country to be fundamentally transformed into anything other than a Representative Republic.
