What Obama and I Learned at Columbia: How to Destroy America From Within

Remember when Geraldo opened Al Capone’s vault live on national TV? Well I’m about to solve the mystery of Obama. I’m about to break “the Obama code.” I’m about to tell you everything about the way Obama, and the people around him, really think. I’m about to rip open the true Obama plan to destroy our country. Because I was there when the plan was hatched.

How do I know all this? Because I was Barack Obama’s college classmate at Columbia University, Class of 1983. I was easy to recognize – the lone outspoken conservative in a class of 700 students. I knew I was in trouble when my first political science class at Columbia was “Communism 101″ taught by Professor Trotsky in the Fidel Castro Building, at the corner of Marx Blvd. and Lenin Drive.

I’m only half-kidding. My experiences at Columbia were not far off.

Everyone needs to hear my story because what Obama and I learned at Columbia explains EXACTLY what Obama is doing to America today.

Is A Civil War Coming To America?

For anyone who has done even a cursory study of Barack Obama’s life, they know that his radical Marxist views are not a recent phenomenon.

During his New York years, he was a frequent participant in the annual Socialist Scholars Conference held in Manhattan.

In the 1990s, he was affiliated with the Marxist New Party.

He called for an outright ban on guns in 1996.

Through the 1990s and 2000s, he funneled millions of dollars to socialist front groups like ACORN, via the Woods Fund and the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. His buddy, domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, helped stuff the money in the pockets of these “public welfare” groups, often taking money from wealthy donors who believed the funds were being used to further education or stamp out poverty. This was Barack Obama’s first foray into “spreading the wealth around.”

The dirty little secret about Marxists is that the moral outrage they have about the poor, about gun violence, about war, and even about the environment (so-called “global warming,” now rebranded as “climate change”) is that these are all simply tools to set up a totalitarian government. A so-called utopia where “from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs” is not determined by the individual, but according to an elite bureaucracy.

Black Monday

The U.S. Treasury on Wednesday announced the first of a series of measures that should push back the day when the government will exceed its legal borrowing authority as imposed by Congress by around two months.

Without any action, Treasury said the government is set to reach its $16.4 trillion debt ceiling on Dec. 31.

The government is facing a crunch on the debt ceiling because the issue has become ensnarled in talks to avoid some $600 billion in tax hikes and spending cuts due to begin in early January. Failing to raise the debt ceiling could cause the government to default on its debt.

To cut government spending and delay bumping up against the debt ceiling, the Treasury will suspend issuance of state and local government series securities — known as “slugs” — beginning on Dec. 28.

Investments in a government employee pension fund will also be suspended, along with some other measures, although Treasury did not give dates for when these other measures will begin.

“These extraordinary measures … can create approximately $200 billion in headroom under the debt limit,” Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner wrote in a letter to congressional leaders.

Normally, these measures would buy the Treasury about two months time before hitting the debt ceiling, Geithner said in the letter. But a series of planned tax hikes and spending cuts due to take effect in early January could give Treasury further time if they take effect as scheduled, he said.

Disability Snowballs

The ranks of our entitlement society continue to swell. You’ll remember that in June, more people went on Social Security disability than found a job. A record number of people in June went on Social Security disability. That’s Barack Obama’s recovery: More government checks, fewer actual pay checks.

It looks like July is set to break that June record. The number of people collecting Social Security disability has increased now to 8,753,935. A record month like June could have been considered a fluke by some; does two months make it a trend?

I’ll tell you what IS a trend … virtually every entitlement program out there has seen the same pattern: As the years progress, there are fewer and fewer workers supporting a growing number of entitlement recipients. Such is the case with Social Security disability. The program was created in 1956. By 1967, there were 65 workers for every person collecting disability. By 1987, that ratio had declined to 41 workers for every one person collecting disability. When Dear Ruler took office in January 2009, there were 19 people working for every one person collecting Social Security disability. As of June 2012, there were just 16 workers for every person claiming disability.

One more frightening stat from CNSNews that will put this into perspective:

The 8,753,935 workers who took federal disability insurance payments in July exceeded the population of 39 of the 50 states. Only 11 states—California, Texas, New York, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina and New Jersey—had more people in them than the number of workers on the federal disability insurance rolls in July.

That’s what we call the water slide to economic oblivion – and it is completely intentional. Remember the Cloward-Piven strategy? We covered this just last week in Nealz Nuze. Here’s what I wrote on July 16th:

David Horowitz explains the Cloward-Piven strategy as the following: The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

Implementation of this strategy follows three common features:

The offensive organizes previously unorganized groups eligible for government benefits but not currently receiving all they can.
The offensive seeks to identify new beneficiaries and/or create new benefits.
The overarching aim is always to impose new stresses on target systems, with the ultimate goal of forcing their collapse.

Putting unsustainable numbers of people in this country on Social Security disability is simply a part of this strategy … and you’re seeing it happen right now and right before your unbelieving eyes. There is only so much that a free society can take before it is incapable of supporting entitlement recipients and the moochers (those who didn’t pay into the system at all, and yet collect government checks).

According to some of the people who knew him then …when Barack Obama arrived from Hawaii to Occidental College back around 1980 or so, he came here as a dedicated Marxist revolutionary. His Marxist friends at Occidental convinced him that if America were to become a Marxist society it would have to happen not through revolution, but politically. Fast forward to Obama’s pronouncement that he was going to “fundamentally change the United States of America.”

Look at the growth of our entitlement society! Just consider these bullet points!

The growth of people on Social Security unemployment.
Relaxation of work rules and expansion of welfare programs.
Doubling of foodstamp recipients.

Just what do YOU think is going on here?

Cloward-Piven Strategy?

It’s been a little while since we’ve discussed this one .. but with the onslaught of these stories about the deliberate expansion of our welfare ranks, it becomes increasingly easier to make the connection.

Whatever name you want to call it, it has become abundantly clear that a central goal of the Obama administration is to increase the number of Americans reliant upon the government.

Frances Fox Piven Rings in The New Year By Calling for Violent Revolution

She’s considered by many as the grandmother of using the American welfare state to implement revolution. Make people dependent on the government, overload the government rolls, and once government services become unsustainable, the people will rise up, overthrow the oppressive capitalist system, and finally create income equality. Collapse the system and create a new one. That‘s the simplified version of Frances Fox Piven’s philosophy originally put forth in the pages of The Nation in the 60s.

Now, as the new year ball drops, Piven is at it again, ringing in 2011 with renewed calls for revolution.

In a chilling and almost unbelievable editorial again in The Nation (”Mobilizing the Jobless,” January 10/17, 2011 edition), she calls on the jobless to rise up in a violent show of solidarity and force. As before, those calls are dripping with language of class struggle. Language she and her late husband Richard Cloward made popular in the 60s.

“So where are the angry crowds, the demonstrations, sit-ins and unruly mobs?” she writes. “After all, the injustice is apparent. Working people are losing their homes and their pensions while robber-baron CEOs report renewed profits and windfall bonuses. Shouldn’t the unemployed be on the march? Why aren’t they demanding enhanced safety net protections and big initiatives to generate jobs?” [Emphasis added]

Those are the questions that frame what can best be called a roadmap for revolution. And it’s not long before those questions give way to directions. The first instruction: get angry.

Obama calls for compromise, won’t budge on tax cuts

Days after Democrats received a self-described “shellacking” at the polls, President Obama called for an end to campaigning and an embrace of compromise.

But he signaled no willingness to bend on the first challenge likely to face him from a Republican House as he advocated the permanent extension of Bush-era tax cuts for families making less than $250,000 a year despite the GOP’s resolve to extend the tax cuts for all income brackets.

In his weekly address Saturday, Obama said that Democrats and Republicans not only agree on middle-class tax cuts but the need to rein in spending, and used this to try to drive his position on the tax cuts.

“At a time when we are going to ask folks across the board to make such difficult sacrifices, I don’t see how we can afford to borrow an additional $700 billion from other countries to make all the Bush tax cuts permanent, even for the wealthiest 2 percent of Americans,” the president said. “We’d be digging ourselves into an even deeper fiscal hole and passing the burden on to our children.”

Obama noted the importance of extending the tax cuts in the lame-duck session, but focused the address on digging in against the full extension sought by Republicans and some Democrats.

“If Congress doesn’t act by New Year’s Eve, middle-class families will see their taxes go up starting on New Year’s Day,” he warned.
