‘Wake Up, America!’

Glenn Beck said Wednesday that he doesn’t care if just “four people” read the news stories — he wants his network TheBlaze to continue covering 15-year-old Justina Pelletier’s case until it is resolved.

“Find every reason to talk about it,” he said. “Turn over every stone. Show me everything that people can do and are doing … this is the most important story to me. Because you have a chance. You have the opportunity to save a woman’s life.”

A little more than one year ago, Justina’s parents lost custody of her after disagreeing with a Boston Children’s Hospital diagnosis that she has somatoform disorder, a psychiatric condition. They believe she has mitochondrial disease, a condition she had been receiving treatment for by doctors at Tufts Medical Center.

Contempt Charges Filed Against Dad Who Defied Gag Order to Tell Daughter’s Heartbreaking Story

The Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) filed for Lou Pelletier — the father of 15-year-old Justina Pelletier who is the center of a controversy and legal battle involving custody, parents’ rights and two medical diagnoses — to be held in contempt of court, a family source told TheBlaze.

When Pelletier spoke with TheBlaze this week about Justina and the controversy regarding her diagnosis that led custody to be taken away from her parents for the last year, he broke a gag order issued by a Massachusetts judge.

The Unprecedented, Powerful Coalition Three Major Conservative Personalities Are Building Likely Has the Establishment Terrified

Two heads are better than one, as the old saying goes. That surely means that three heads are even better.

If there’s any truth to that saying, the establishment in Washington and progressives everywhere are likely none too pleased to hear that conservative personalities Glenn Beck, Mark Levin and Sean Hannity are on the same page and joining forces to help the country get back on what they feel is the right path.

After previously allowing themselves to be caught up in a “stupid” competitive feud in talk radio, Beck revealed on his radio show Thursday that he has spoken with Levin and Hannity and they are all ready to start to “move together.”

The ‘Lone Survivor’ Review So Controversial Glenn Beck Will Pay the Author to Read It To Marcus Luttrell’s Face

Glenn Beck on Wednesday offered to fly Amy Nicholson of LA Weekly to his Dallas studios first class if she will read the review she wrote of “Lone Survivor” in the presence of former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell, on whom the film is based.

In her article, Nicholson describes “Lone Survivor” as an embellished “jingoistic snuff film” with an attitude of “brown people bad, American people good.” She also claims the SEALs only faced around 10 enemy Taliban fighters, and seems to belittle the fact that Patrick Robinson helped write the book on which the film is based, because Luttrell was serving another tour of duty.

In addition to calling her a “vile, repugnant, and ignorant liar,” Beck took issue with the film critic’s “sanctimonious” attitude that somehow writing a book is more important than actually “living the story.”

“I mean this sincerely – I will fly you first class,” Beck said. “I will put you up at the Four Seasons … You will dine on the finest possible food, and you will come in here and you will sit down and speak these words to Marcus Luttrell. If you have the balls to say what you just said to Marcus Luttrell and back it up, go for it.”

But the multimedia personality predicted that the “coward” of an author will “hide” behind her cherished word processor while “people like Marcus Luttrell are out doing real things.”

‘Stand With Phil’: See the Support Flooding the Internet for Suspended ‘Duck Dynasty’ Star

Just one day after Phil Robertson’s comments on homosexuality earned him an indefinite suspension from “Duck Dynasty,” the reality show star has received a strong show of support from the governor of his state and others.

Louisiana Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal called it a “messed-up situation when Miley Cyrus gets a laugh, and Phil Robertson gets suspended.”

“Phil Robertson and his family are great citizens of the state of Louisiana. The politically correct crowd is tolerant of all viewpoints, except those they disagree with.” Jindal said in a statement. “I don’t agree with quite a bit of stuff I read in magazine interviews or see on TV. In fact, come to think of it, I find a good bit of it offensive. But I also acknowledge that this is a free country and everyone is entitled to express their views. In fact, I remember when TV networks believed in the First Amendment. It is a messed up situation when Miley Cyrus gets a laugh, and Phil Robertson gets suspended.”

Robertson told GQ Magazine in an interview that he didn’t understand why someone would choose to have sex with a man instead of a woman.

“It seems like, to me, a vagina—as a man—would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical,” Robertson said.

Furious ‘Duck Dynasty’ fans loaded for bear

Sarah Palin and Gov. Bobby Jindal are among those coming to the defense of “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson over his comments on homosexuality, but their words pale in comparison to Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, who is targeting the star’s network with both guns blazing.

A&E Network suspended “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson from his own television show after calling homosexuality illogical, while proffering his male viewpoint preferring female anatomy to that of other men.

The congressman from Texas said he is “fuming” over the controversy.

“Your personal views on private relationships aside, the radical left once again seeks to personally destroy anyone who voices an opinion different than theirs,” writes Stockman.

He continued, “The liberal war on speech must end now. Liberals define “tolerance” the same way the Soviets defined “peace” — the eradication of opposition. They are on a mission to eradicate dissent. Please stand with Phil today.”

He pointed out that Robertson never personally condemned anyone and simply stated what his Christian faith teaches, but may have lost his job.

“And trust me, you are next,” the Texan claimed, warning, “They will target YOU in YOUR workplace if we don’t punch back.”

Whether one agrees with Phil Robertson or not, said Stockman, “it is wrong to take away a man’s job for voicing his personal religious beliefs.”

Stockman also noted he stood up for Tuffy the Rodeo Clown “when the radical Left took away his job for taking part in a skit that has mocked all presidents past and president.”

The National Organization for Marriage is wading into the fray, with an online petition demanding that Robertson be reinstated with an apology from A&E.

“Duck Dynasty on TheBlaze”? If Anti-Heterosexual A&E Dumps Them…….

“Duck Dynasty on TheBlaze” has a nice ring to it, according to Glenn Beck.

One day after Phil Robertson’s comments about homosexuality earned him an indefinite suspension from the hit series “Duck Dynasty” on A&E, Beck offered the entire Robertson family a place on his own network.

“[All the other networks] will fold to pressure,” he said. “They will all fold to sponsors. They will all fold to money because they are all in over their eyeballs are debt … the only reason why Phil was put on hiatus and not the rest is because it is a money-printing machine.”

Beck said as he sees it, the Robertson family has a choice to make.

“If I am in the Robertson family, I sit down with my family and say, ‘Is this the way we’re going to [let] him be treated? Is this who we are? Are we going to [be] quiet because he has an opinion about the scriptures?’”

Beck said that based on what he knows about the family, they’re not going to continue as though nothing happened. He went so far as to suggest that the entire family call GQ Magazine, where Robertson’s comments appeared, and tell them nothing but, “I agree with Phil.”

“You will either be out, or you will be the most powerful people the country has ever seen on television,” Beck said. “You already have all of the juice you’re ever gonna get … And if you take a stand and they fire you … we’ll be on the phone.”

When government used its power to destroy a patriot, The True Story Of Tokyo Rose

Iva Toguri was a Japanese-American, raised in California with parents who instilled in their child a sense of patriotism. They even refused to speak Japanese in the house so as to help her assimilate. And when she grew old enough she graduated from UCLA and considered a career in medicine. By all accounts Iva was quickly working her way toward living the American dream.

In July 1941, Toguri went to visit her ailing Aunt in Japan. Five months later, Pearl Harbor was attacked, drawing America into the war and stranding Toguri in Japan for seven long years.

Her life during these years in Japan was incredibly trying: she was constantly subjected to interrogation by Japanese military officials, who would often wake her at all hours, prod her to jog in-between their bicycles on the way to their interrogation quarters, and attempt to force her to renounce her U.S. citizenship. But she refused. She was an American through and through.

During the war years, the Japanese Imperial Army had been working to propagandize American troops through the use of radio. Iva Toguri, seeking to assist various Allied prisoners of war who were being used by the Japanese to produce demoralizing radio shows, ended up striking up a relationship with the POW crew who worked on a show called the “Zero Hour.” This crew, led by Australian Major Charles Cousins, American Captain Ted Ince and Filipino Lieutenant Norman Reyes, decided to have Toguri host the show. They hoped to fool the Japanese into believing she was reciting propaganda when, in reality, she was sabotaging it and raising the morale of Allied troops. Iva considered the broadcasts, along with her frequent deliveries of supplies and food to the POWs as the most effective means of contributing to the war effort against the Japanese, and serving her country.

Confirmed: U.S. Senate Passes ‘Nuclear Option’ Fundamentally Changing Filibuster Power

The Democrat-controlled U.S. Senate voted 52-48 Thursday to invoke the so-called “nuclear option,” making it possible to confirm most presidential nominees by a simple majority note.

But not all Democrats were on board with the change.

Thursday’s vote marks a major shift in more than 200 years of senate precedent that required a 60-vote majority to assure a final vote on most presidential nominees. The “nuclear option,” however, means only 51 votes are required to confirm most judicial and executive nominees.

Supreme Court appointees are still exempt form the rule change.

“It shows you just how desperate and cynical Democrats have become,” one Senate GOP aide told TheBlaze. “They have proven willing to destroy a defining and historic aspect of the Senate in order to distract from their disastrous health care law and the harm it’s inflicting on the American people right now.”

“Unfortunately, while their ploy may help them in the news cycle for a few days, Americans will still be suffering all the while,” the aide added.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) accused Republicans Thursday of “unbelievable, unprecedented obstruction” of the president’s selections for court vacancies and other offices.

“It’s time to change the Senate, before this institution becomes obsolete,” he said.
