The abortion horde in Texas is threatening Texas state senator Donna Campbell.
“I hope your daughter’s raped.”
Via the Green Room:
State senator Donna Campbell, who issued the third point of order against Davis’s filibuster (which ended it), has also been the target of extensive verbal abuse from pro-choice protesters, according to her spokesman Jon Oliver. They’ve received Facebook messages and e-mails saying, “I hope you’re raped” and “I hope your daughter’s raped,” Oliver tells me. “Lots of language — ‘You’re an effin’ blank,’ ‘You are a traitor to women’ — those kind of things,” Oliver says.
“I wouldn’t say anything’s necessarily a direct threat, but they’re the kind of e-mails that make you a little nervous, especially when you start talking about family members: ‘I hope your family members are raped.’”
Former Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Matt Birk is a social conservative. His gay marriage views have already been widely shared — and now it seems that his pro-life perspective is coming to light. While his fellow teammates recently went to the White House to accept congratulations from President Barack Obama, Birk decided not to attend.
In an interview with 100.3 FM KFAN, he explained why he didn’t accept the honor — and his reasons had everything to do with the president’s stance on abortion. A strong Catholic, Birk has made no bones about sharing his faith-based views on some of the nation’s most divisive issues. In this case, he is merely following suite.

On Tuesday, Dr. Kermit Gosnell’s trial shifted from the exploration of fetal murder allegations to a discussion about Karnamaya Mongar, an immigrant from Bhutan in South Asia. In 2009, she died after undergoing an abortion at Gosnell’s Women’s Medical Society — and her case is one of the many elements under scrutiny.
The 41-year-old woman survived a refugee camp for two decades before coming to America, but her fate was inevitably met after a visit to the embattled doctor’s clinic. Mongar is one of the eight individuals that Gosnell is on trial for allegedly murdering (seven additional babies were purportedly killed after being born alive).
The Philadelphia Inquirer has more about Mongar, the family’s situation and the decision to abort:
They were poor, did not speak English, and had been in America just four months, but Yashoda Gurung said she still wanted her mother to have the baby.
Karnamaya Mongar was insistent, though. After 20 years living in tin-roofed huts in a Bhutanese refugee camp in Nepal, a fourth child would be too much.

The empty chairs tell the story: It may be the most horrifying abortion story in history – but the mainstream media are nowhere in sight.
The networks and the major newspapers are ignoring the murder trial of abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell in a Philadelphia courtroom.
A grand jury report said Gosnell “regularly and illegally delivered live, viable babies in the third trimester of pregnancy – and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors.”
Revelations made in testimony have only gotten worse since the trial began last month, but you won’t see it on network television.
A picture of the empty chairs reserved for media was taken by J.D. Mullane of the Bucks County Courier Times. He tweeted, “Sat through a full day of testimony at the Kermit Gosnell trial today. It is beyond the most morbid Hollywood horror. It will change you.”
Mullane added, “Local press was there, Inky, PhillyMag, NBC 10 blogger. Court staff told me nobody else has shown up.”
How morbid is the trial evidence? Former employee Stephen Massof testified last week about how he snipped the spinal cords of babies, calling it “literally a beheading. It is separating the brain from the body.”
He also said, when women were given medicine to hasten deliveries, “[I]t would rain fetuses. Fetuses and blood all over the place.”
Masof pleaded guilty to third-degree murder in the deaths of two newborns and is now testifying against the 72-year-old Gosnell, who is charged with killing a woman and seven babies.
Fox News commentator Kristen Powers, generally considered a liberal, deplored the media blackout.
