Steven Seagal talks Obama impeachment

Actor Steven Seagal, whose dozens of films feature action and violence but also have an underlying theme of seeking justice, says President Obama would be impeached if the truth about the Benghazi attack was revealed.

His charge came Feb. 22 in an appearance at the Western Conservative Conference in Phoenix

The U.S. ambassador and three other Americans were killed in the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, by radical Muslims. While immediate intelligence reports indicated it was a planned terrorist attack, for weeks the White House blamed it on a spontaneous protest against an obscure Internet video about Muhammad.

“Never in my life did I ever believe that our country would be taken over by people like the people who are running it this day,” said Seagal.

“I think that when we have a leadership that thinks the Constitution of the United States of America is a joke, when we have a president who has almost 1,000 executive orders now, when we have a Department of Justices that thinks that any kind of a judicial system that they make up as they are going along can get by with whatever they decide that they want to do – like Ted Nugent said the Fast and the Furious, what’s happening with the Fast and the Furious? What’s happened with the truth about any of the greatest scandals of American history that have happened right before our eyes?” Seagal said.

“If the truth about Benghazi were to come out now, I don’t think that this man would make it through his term. I think he would be impeached,” he said.

Glenn Beck Calls for Obama Impeachment

On his radio show this morning, Glenn Beck called for Obama’s impeachment.

Saying that arming known terrorists is an impeachable offense, Beck said, “You’re arming and aiding enemies of the United states. Enemies who are not even a direct threat the the United States.”

He told his listening audience, ”We did not get into bed with Hitler to defeat Japan,” calling out Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham for their involvement in the Syrian action and advised Arizona voters to get rid of McCain.

“We did not get into bed with Hitler to defeat Japan. This is treason and impeachable. The president knows it’s against the law. It’s why he waived it.”

Beck was referring to President Obama‘s action yesterday to waive a provision of federal law designed to prevent the supply of arms to terrorist groups.

According to a published report in the Washington Examiner, Obama did this to clear the way for the U.S. to provide military assistance to “vetted” opposition groups fighting Syrian dictator Bashar Assad.

GOP Rep. Intends to ‘Investigate, Identify and Prosecute People Within the Administration, Up to and Including the President’

Rep. Tom Marino (R-Pa.) in a Thursday radio interview revealed he is exploring the potential options that would allow Congress to file civil or criminal charges against members of the Obama administration and even President Barack Obama himself.

Citing the Obama administration’s delay in the implementation of the employer mandate found in “Obamacare,” Marino told radio host David Madeira that the president continues to show a disregard for the law. He also argued Attorney General Eric Holder is never going to hold the Obama administration accountable.

“If the chief law enforcer of the country [Holder] will not enforce the law,” said Marino, “and the president decides to break the law because he doesn’t like it, there has to be another mechanism by which we in Congress can … see if there are criminal charges we can file.”

Marino is looking to “investigate, identify and prosecute people within the administration, up to and including the president if it comes to that,” according to Sarah Wolf, Marino’s spokeswoman.

Tea Party Groups Sue IRS, Obama Admin. for Unlawful Targeting

On Wednesday, twenty-five Tea Party and conservative groups sued the IRS and Obama administration officials for inappropriately targeting them. Ten groups are demanding tax-exempt status and more groups may be added to the suit in the future.

Jay Sekulow, whose American Center for Law and Justice is representing the groups, said the “IRS and the federal government are not going to get away with this unlawful targeting of conservative groups,” and the “lawsuit sends a very powerful message to the IRA and the Obama Administration – including the White House: Americans are not going to be bullied and intimidated by our government.”

According to NBC News, the “suit asks for a declaratory judgment that the defendants,” including Lois Lerner, the embattled chief of the tax-exempt division “unlawfully delayed and obstructed” applications for tax-exempt status.

The lawsuit also “asks for monetary damages, protection for the plaintiffs from further IRS targeting and tax-exempt status for 10 of the conservative groups with applications still outstanding.”
