Babies drowned alive in toxic liquid

A Pennsylvania jury will soon render a verdict on whether abortionist Dr. Kermit Gosnell murdered four babies who survived abortions as well as a woman who was one of his patients, but a new series of videos from Live Action suggest that Gosnell’s actions are not out of the mainstream.

Live Action President Lila Rose told WND her group has already released two videos showing abortion providers in New York City and Washington, D.C., explaining how they would do nothing to help a baby who survived an abortion to survive.

The 10-year Planned Parenthood adviser tells an undercover Live Action investigator that if she were to deliver her baby alive while at home between the stages in her two-day abortion, that she should just “flush it.” The female official also said that the woman definitely should not call a hospital because it wouldn’t help her since the abortion had already started. She further asserted that any surviving baby would die once it was submerged in a toxic solution inside a jar.

In Washington, Dr. Caesare Santanegelo admits that he is legally bound to help a baby who survived an abortion to stay alive – but that he would not. Santangelo said he would call 9-1-1 but do nothing on his own to save the child’s life. He also criticized Virginia hospitals for their policy of trying to save those lives.

“Gosnell is not alone. This investigation shows already those in the Bronx and in D.C., abortion workers talking about how they would commit infanticide and how this is either the tactic they would use, whether to expose the infant or put it in a jar of toxic solution so that it will stop breathing,” said Rose, who added that these first two videos are just the beginning of this series which she contends will repeatedly show abortion practitioners having detailed knowledge of exactly what they would do if a baby survives an abortion – a description that almost never follows the law.

The Gosnell trial was part of the motivation for this video series, but Rose said personal stories and cold statistics prove this situation plays out far more often than the pro-choice movement would have Americans believe.

University Prof. Offended By Images at Pro-Life Rally Gets Arrested After Odd Obscenity-Laced Tirade

Pro-life grandmother attacked at abortion clinic

A woman exited a Planned Parenthood clinic and smacked a camera phone out of the hands of a pro-life observer yesterday, but 63-year-old Rae Stabosz caught the assault on video, and it is now posted on Youtube.

Stabosz says she was threatened by a young woman as she stood outside an abortion clinic in Wilmington, Del. In the video, Stabosz is seen calling 911 to report the threat when a young woman leaves the clinic, heads straight at Stabosz and knocks the camera out of her hands.

Someone can then be heard saying “get the f*** away” as the video shows a foot stomping on the phone.

Stabosz was treated and released from a hospital with minor injuries. But, first, she went into the clinic, retrieved her phone and resumed videoing.

Earlier in the day, Stabosz was praying outside the clinic when a woman and her mother arrived, according to LifeNews. Stabosz learned the woman had complications from an abortion performed March 8.

Stabosz persuaded the woman to go to a hospital, where doctors reportedly discovered a leg and a foot had been left inside her. The woman underwent surgery and was referred to an attorney.

After the incident, Stabosz, a Catholic grandmother of 12, went to Mass. When she returned to Planned Parenthood, she saw another medical emergency in progress.

That’s when she reported being assaulted. After she retrieved her phone, Stabosz videoed a gurney with an injured patient, covered entirely in blankets and sheets, being put into an ambulance.

Stabosz says they were the third and fourth abortion injuries at the clinic in five weeks. Two other medical emergencies took place at the Planned Parenthood clinic Feb. 8 and Feb. 16, according to LifeNews.

Have You Seen the 2004 Michelle Obama Letter Endorsing Partial-Birth Abortion?

Here is the letter:

Liberals call 11-year-old pro-lifer ‘stupid kid’

A longtime pro-abortion activist has publicly berated an 11-year-old girl praying the rosary at the site of a pro-life protest during the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte.

“You’re just a stupid kid,” the activist told Zoe Griffin, according to her mother, Brice.

The activist, identified as Sunsara Taylor, approached the group, whose members had been placing 3,300 red carnations on the sidewalk outside Time Warner Cable Center, where the DNC is meeting, to represent the estimated 3,300 abortions performed daily across America.

When the last flower was placed, the group formed a line and began to pray the rosary. That was when Zoe noticed people approaching.

“They were carrying signs and blowing whistles,” she told WND. “They were jumping around and chanting things like ‘A baby’s not a baby ’til it comes out, that’s what birthdays are all about.”

The signs most of the protesters waved around said, “Abortion on Demand and Without Apology.”

“They were acting like five-year-old children,” the young Griffin girl told WND.

Zoe and her group also had signs that said, “I’m a person” next to an image of a baby in the womb.

The Party of Abortion

The Democratic party underwent an ideological evolution in Charlotte last week. They are no longer a pro-choice party. They’re the party of abortion.

In the first prime-time speech of the first night of the convention, the Democrats featured “former Republican” Maria Ciano (she’s been a registered Democrat since at least 2006). “[Republicans] want to deny me the power to make the most personal decisions about my life,” Ciano said. “The America I love respects the dignity of women. The America I love is a place where, when we say ‘freedom,’ we mean my freedom to make decisions about my life, not someone else’s freedom to make them for me.”

Ciano was followed by NARAL president Nancy Keenan, who opened by insisting that “the Democratic party believes that women have the right to choose a safe, legal abortion with dignity and privacy.” Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick agreed a short while later in his remarks from the stage, saying, “We believe that freedom means keeping government out of our most private affairs, including out of a woman’s decision whether to keep an unwanted pregnancy.”

On the second night of the convention, the Democrats continued to make appeals based on abortion rights. The head of Planned Parenthood, Cecile Richards, opened the 8 o’clock hour on the convention stage by claiming that Mitt Romney is campaigning “to overturn Roe v. Wade,” and “we won’t let him.” Later, liberal icon Sandra Fluke promised that if President Obama is reelected, women will retain “the right to choose.” The message was unmistakable: The Democrats believe abortion rights should be a central facet of their appeal to voters.

Contraception, Abortion and the “War on Women”

Those of you who know me, have read my blog or listened to me speak on CRF Radio, know that I’m a fiscal and constitutional conservative, but that I’m more of a moderate on the social issues. So it should come as no surprise that I’ve never written about prophylactic-contraception or abortion.

Frankly, until President Obama made it an issue by putting a mandate in the “Affordable Care Act” (aka Obamacare) that requires hospitals and schools run by religious institutions – as well as private companies run by people of faith – to provide coverage for contraception and the “morning after” pill in their healthcare coverage, it wasn’t something I felt a need to address in any great detail.

I believe that Roe v. Wade was decided incorrectly because it’s a Tenth Amendment, State’s rights issue. The Supreme Court should have ruled to let each state make their own laws and then Congress should have passed a law protecting a woman that goes to a state that permits abortion from being prosecuted when/if she returned to her home state. If you don’t like the laws in your state, you’re free to move to another state. As the census showed us, in the last 10 years millions of Americans have left states like New York and California and moved to states like Texas and Florida. So evidently, whatever their reasons, people do and have voted with their feet.

I want to try to examine both contraception and abortion in terms of the so-called “moral high ground”, which somehow Democrats seem to have seized (at least in the media).

I should note that I have no objection to people using contraception. That is a personal choice. And frankly it’s also the personal responsibility of both the man and the woman if they choose to have sex and don’t want to have a child. What I do have a problem with is people expecting taxpayers and people of faith that disagree to pay for what happens in their bedrooms.

I also should make it clear where I personally stand on abortion. I neither want to outlaw all abortions, nor do I think it should be legal to terminate a pregnancy once the fetus is viable outside the womb. Both positions are extreme to me.

Once the baby can survive outside the mother it is, in my opinion, no longer simply a matter of the woman’s choice. There is clearly another person who has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness involved at that point. And six months is more than enough time to decide to have an abortion if you truly don’t want to have a baby.

Hopefully having clarified my own positions, I want to address the way that progressives like Barack Obama, Sandra Fluke and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz talk about these issues and the “moral high ground” they claim to stand on.

Whether it’s contraception or abortion, progressives claim that the issue is a “woman’s access to healthcare”. This is an intentionally false and deceptive argument.

SBA List to launch Missouri ads against Obama on abortion

The conservative Susan B. Anthony List is poised to embark on a TV ad campaign challenging Barack Obama’s record on abortion, an official with the group tells POLITICO.

The initial ad is a $150,000 buy in Missouri, and shows a woman – Melissa Ohden – speaking to the camera about having been born alive in spite of an abortion procedure.

Abortion opponents have long decried Obama’s record in the Illinois legislature on regulating late-term abortions, but little money has been spent to advertise on the issue since he became president.

“Many children, more than you might think, actually survive failed abortions and are born alive. I know because I’m one of them,” Ohden says in the SBA List ad. “When he was in the Illinois state Senate, Barack Obama voted to deny basic constitutional protections for babies born alive from an abortion – not once, but four times.”

She concludes: “I know it’s by the grace of God I’m alive today, if only to ask America this question: is this the kind of leadership that will move us forward, that will discard the weakest among us? How will you answer?”

CNN Poll: Majority want abortions prohibited

(LifeNews) CNN has released the results of a new poll showing a majority of Americans want all or most abortions prohibited — a clear pro-life majority.

The survey asked: “Do you think abortion should be legal under any circumstances, legal under only certain circumstances, or illegal in all circumstances?” Some 62 percent want abortions illegal in all cases or legal only in certain instances while just 35% want abortions legal for any reason.

Spain angers feminists with plan to tighten abortion law

Spain’s conservative government has provoked a storm among women’s groups with plans to tighten abortion laws to make the procedure illegal in cases where the foetus is deformed.

About 100 people took part in a rally in Madrid’s central Tirso de Molina square on Sunday to protest against the proposed reform which they argue will take Spain back to the era of the dictatorship of General Francisco Franco.

The crowd, mostly women, chanted “We give birth, we decide” and “Not one step backwards”.

“It seems to us to be a throwback to the Franco dictatorship and we are not willing to accept under any circumstances measures that will take away our rights,” said Justa Montero, member of the Feminist Assembly, one of the women’s groups that organised the protest.

The government announced Friday it would alter an abortion law introduced by its Socialist predecessors in 2010 which gave women the legal right to abortion on demand for up to 14 weeks of pregnancy.

The 2010 law also allowed women the legal right to abort up to the 22nd week of pregnancy in cases where the mother’s health is at risk or the foetus shows serious deformities.

In cases of extreme malformation of a foetus, an abortion could be carried out at any time if approved by an ethics committee.

But Justice Minister Alberto Ruiz-Gallardon said the law should be changed to ban abortion in cases of a deformed foetus.

“I don’t understand why we should deprive a foetus of life by allowing abortion for the simple reason that it suffers a handicap or a deformity,” he said in an interview published in conservative daily La Razon on July 22.
