Maxine Waters: Americans are Bigots for Opposing Sharia Law

I confess I’ve been called a bigot for lots of things simply because I have a Christian worldview. I’ve been called it by atheists, homosexuals and Islamists, but they always use that because they simply cannot defend their positions, and so, they resort to name calling. It shouldn’t surprise anyone then that socialist Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) spoke at an Islamic Society of Orange County town hall meeting on the issue of the Constitution and Sharia law.

Keep in mind that this town hall meeting took place in 2012, but her words are still relevant today because she and others like her continue to think like this. Also keep in mind that the Islamic Society of Orange County claims to be a “non-political organization.”

“Over the last year, and due to the focus of House Republicans on so-called ‘Muslim radicalization,’ we have seen politicians and pundits attacking…

Yahoo wins battle in secretive surveillance court

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot

The public is getting a broader glimpse at the still-secretive world of government data collection.

Yahoo said Thursday it won release of 1,500 pages of documents filed in a secretive surveillance court. It said the documents stem from an unsuccessful lawsuit it brought in 2008 challenging the government’s right to demand user information.

The company won a victory last year when portions of previously-closed documents were ordered public. As it noted Thursday, disclosures from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court are “extremely rare.”

The documents are a public relations victory for Yahoo: They show it resisting orders to comply with the surveillance programs.

“Yahoo has not complied with the directives because of concerns that the directives require Yahoo to assist in conducting warrantless surveillance that is likely to capture private communications of United States citizens located in the U.S. and abroad,” Yahoo wrote in a legal document, arguing the orders violated…

NEWARK — The man accused of killing a New Jersey teenager and three other men as retribution for U.S. military action in the Middle East could eventually be charged with terrorism offenses, according to a national security expert.

William C. Banks, Director of the Institute for National Security and Counterterrorism at Syracuse University, said that if the details of a confession by Ali Muhammad Brown described in court papers filed in Washington state Wednesday are accurate, he could face additional charges at either the state or federal level.

“If he’s got the motivation that he announced he has, which is to exact revenge for the U.S. killing of Muslims…

CNN’s Blitzer Refuses to Ask Susan Rice About Benghazi on Anniversary of Attack

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer interviewed President Obama’s National Security Adviser Susan Rice during Thursday’s edition of The Situation Room and neglected to bring up the second anniversary of the tragic attack in Benghazi, Libya that left U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, foreign service officer Sean Smith and CIA contractors Tyrone Woods and Glenn Doherty dead. Instead, the nearly eight-and-a-half-minute interview discussed President Obama’s speech to the nation from Wednesday night on ISIS and reaction to Diane Foley speaking to CNN’s Anderson Cooper about how she believed that the United States did not do enough to save her son Jim before he was brutally murdered by ISIS. http://www.mrc.org/biasalerts/cnns-blitzer-refuses-ask-susan-rice-about-benghazi-anniversary-attack

Brother of James Foley tells Fox government ‘threatened’ him over ransom bid

a12iggymom's Blog

The family of James Foley had critical words for the government’s handling of his case, with the murdered journalist’s brother telling Fox News the Obama administration threatened him when he tried to raise funds for his brother’s release from ISIS — the terrorist group that beheaded him in an Internet video that shocked the world.

“They were actually an impedance,” Michael Foley told FNC’s Megyn Kelly of the U.S. government’s role in rescuing his older brother, a photojournalist who was kidnapped by ISIS militants in northern Syria in 2012 and held captive for 21 months before he was executed by the terrorist group.

U.S. policy does not allow for government negotiations with terrorist organizations or ransom payments for Americans kidnapped by them. Foley, however, said the administration made it difficult for the family to privately raise funds on its own to secure his brother’s release.

Any questions about how Barack Obama is going to “manage” the “ISIS problem”?

I didn’t think so.
