Illegal Border Children: Crisis in the Making!

Conditions along the US-Mexican border are getting worse, not better, as more and more families and children without parents are crossing the border illegally.  Some of those children are as young as 6 years old although many are teenagers.  The feds are calling them “unattended immigrants” meaning their parents either didn’t come across the border with them or their parents died or otherwise disappeared along the way to the US from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.  That’s where most of these children have come from in recent weeks numbering in the thousands.

There are many potential reasons for the sudden influx of these children into the US illegally.  Some blame the influx on the growing drug war violence in those countries.  Others blame it on the worsening conditions and growing poverty in those countries.  Still others blame it on Obama administration policy, failed of course, saying that Obama’s message giving…

Lord, You’ve opened my eyes,
to the darkness of mankind
now let it be Your holy light
flooding my heart and mind.

Let me turn away from,
that which cause’s You offense
let me not be like those who
straddle compromise’s fence.

Let me be bold in the battle,
steadfast in my daily fight
let me be for You a soldier
full of Your holy might.

Though mankind may scoff,
and turn away from me
