Cindy Vinson and Tom Waschura are big believers in the Affordable Care Act. They vote independent and are proud to say they helped elect and re-elect President Barack Obama.
Yet, like many other Bay Area residents who pay for their own medical insurance, they were floored last week when they opened their bills: Their policies were being replaced with pricier plans that conform to all the requirements of the new health care law.
Vinson, of San Jose, will pay $1,800 more a year for an individual policy, while Waschura, of Portola Valley, will cough up almost $10,000 more for insurance for his family of four.
“I was laughing at Boehner — until the mail came today,” Waschura said, referring to House Speaker John Boehner, who is leading the Republican charge to defund Obamacare.
“I really don’t…

A prominent Muslim advisor at the Obama Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has close ties to a convicted Hamas fundraiser and other radical Islamist causes, including a nonprofit that proclaims sharia is the only legitimate law according to Islam.
Incredibly, this Homeland Security advisor, Mohamed Elibiary, has regular access to classified information and is a prime mover behind two of the Obama administration’s most dangerous policies; normalizing relations with domestic and foreign Islamist groups (including the Muslim Brotherhood) and arduous enforcement restrictions of laws related to material support for terrorism.
While this may seem incomprehensible to many, it’s all documented in a disturbing published this week by the Center for Security Policy, a Washington D.C. think tank dedicated to promoting national security. The 33-page document is actually based on a lengthy, five-part interview with Elibiary, an influential member of Obama’s Homeland Security Advisory Council.
Elibiary admits he’s a longtime friend…

An active duty combat veteran is dead, a victim of black mob violence.
The soldier, Tevin A. Geike, had been celebrating his safe return from combat and his imminent release from the military. He was walking to his hotel early Saturday morning near a Seattle area military base where KOMO-TV news picks up the story:
“A group of men in a car drove by and someone inside shouted a racial comment toward the white soldiers, the Lakewood Police Department said.
“‘One of the soldiers yelled back something about the suspects treating combat soldiers with disrespect,” Lt. Chris Lawler said.’
“The vehicle turned around, and five black males got out of the car and confronted the soldiers, according to reports. As the verbal confrontation ensued, the driver of the vehicle realized the men were actually combat veterans and called his friends off.
“While the men headed back to their vehicle, one of the suspects appeared to have bumped into the victim, witnesses say.
“The soldiers saw their friend fall to the ground as the car sped away. The victim was bleeding profusely from a stab wound and died at the scene.”
Police are searching for five black men who fled the scene in a midnight blue BMW-type sedan or VW Jetta-type car with four doors, tinted windows and stock rims and low profile tires, said KOMO.
The main suspect was wearing a hoodie.

The family of Abu Anas al-Libi, the alleged al-Qaeda leader seized by American forces in Libya, last night claimed he was innocent and had been working in a pizza restaurant while in Britain, not masterminding international terror attacks.
His son, Abdullah al-Ruqaie, told The Daily Telegraph his father had been forced to leave Britain because of “police harassment”.
He described how his own childhood had been spent on the run, leaving primary school in Manchester for a life first in Afghanistan, where his father became close to Osama bin Laden, and then in prison in Iran.
But he insisted his father had gone to Afghanistan to “help the oppressed” and was innocent of the murders of 224 people in the twin bombings of the US embassies in Nairobi and Dar es-Salaam, of which he is accused by the US.
“My father is a normal man,” he…
